Taco Pete Taco Pete... What can I say? To see this place go from a small little shack that my closet was bigger than turn into this amazing brand of a taco shop is just amazing! Taco Pete is actually where I first discovered cilantro. I don't know where cilantro had been in my life up to that point but baby cilantro on top of a taco burrito fajita Just takes that food to a whole another level! Life has not been the same. Taco Pete's tacos or to me bar none and the fact that they are located across the street from a Taco Bell and be packed out says a lot about the products. They renovated and upgraded and now have this amazing big location and it's just awesome now... Be prepared for a little bit of a wait because stuff is really fresh This is the first time I've been back since it's a remodel building. And I'm noticing their soft tacos are being made fresh They are making their soft tacos and house at least they taste and look authentic not store-bought! Fresh ingredients good customer service You will have a little bit of a weight but once you take a bite it was all worth it! So proud of this small pop establishment that turned into what could be the next big franchise! I was specifically craving taco Pete's today and they did not disappoint. The only downside I would say is they labeled the bags but put the wrong food in each so by the time I realized that I actually was eating my partner's food I was down to one taco. So that's the only thing you know someone just moving too fast but I would not take away from this amazing place! It's worth the trip to East Point It's worth the trip to go to Taco Pete's!!
Came here a few years ago pre-renovation and it was not great. Happy i took a chance today because the steak burrito was delicious! Flavorful and hot. Great sauce and toppings. Theres outdoor bar seating but no seats were out yet (?) service was good but the microphone system makes it hard to have your order heard without yelling. Friendly staff. Overall, ill be back!
Glad to see y’all are open again and the remodel looks amazing. My food was great as usual. I watched the hispanic lady at the window have an attitude when my boyfriend and I ordered. However, when two white men ordered after us, the attitude seemed to suddenly go away. The food is good. Is the service like this in out in slauson too?
Don’t get me wrong the food is decent and has flavor but im not sure if it’s worth the crowd, the hype, the price, the rush while also having to wait 20 mins for such a small order. Might try them again, might not idk. It was nothing to write home about.

I recommend the chicken burrito. I've only eaten Taco Pete a few times. However, I've never been disappointed.
I have to be honest. I’m such a foodie and this food was amazing the first time around. It was delicious and I def will be coming back as a regular. They have a broad menu so you can choose anything. I had 3 hard chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and a steak burrito all of them were DELICIOSO and they are BLACK OWNED???????? Keep it up guys I appreciate the great food will be back for more????

It doesn't matter how good the food is, (and it is!) if the service is incompetent and and arrogantly so! Whoever the woman was at the counter at 2:09pm on May 11th, should not be in customer service. Especially when there's food involved.
I love this place, support the ownership, and will be back. But this was an awful experience today.
Unnecessarily slow!! Need to work on realistic wait times. It’s like they hold food until they complete a few orders so your order could be ready and they won’t call it until they have several others ready. That is a terribly inconsiderate strategy.
