Can’t tell you how happy we were to finally find some authentic Mexican food down here! Moved to the area a year ago from Colorado and have been real pouty without some good street tacos. Thankfully, Chef Rico is doing it right!
I’ll be back as often as possible!
My family has frequented this restaurant since they opened 10 years ago. Even when my exterminator told me not to eat there and a live roach fell off my husbands plate onto the table, we still went. Even when my whole family, and everyone we knew that ate at the restaurant one particular day got violently ill, we still went. Even when they lost their liquor license, we still went. But the rudeness of the owners that I have witnessed has escalated out of control. Customers aren’t given a ticket or check. They add it up on a little calculator at the register and tell you the amount to pay. The amount they give sometimes seems questionable and appears to vary, there’s never anything on paper or a receipt. When I asked the price of an entree, since my bill was almost twice what I expected it to be, Rigo berated me and asked me what I wanted to pay for my food. He then followed me into the dining room, continuing to berate me for questioning the bill. I have never in my life seen a business owner treat customers so rudely. They will never ever ever get another dime of my money.
I just came from here, I walked in and asked the owner if they were open, he said "yes" I went to the restroom but told him I would order when I got out, as I walked out he got an attitude threw his hands up like he was getting frustrated and asked if i was going to order, I said "not with that attitude" and left. I will never come back here, it's not the only Mexican restaurant in town.
Had lunch there today with a friend. Experience was pretty good. Food tasted well. However, after the meal I left with my friend leaving my car in the parking lot. She dropped me back off to pick it up and I walked back into the establishment to use the restroom before my 30 min drive home.
When I walked back in the Owner (I'm assuming) said to me. The restrooms are for customers. I said yes Ma'am I understand I was just here and had lunch. Proceeded to the restroom. Came out and my my she was salty. Asked if I was mad at her. I said no I was just trying to explain I was just here. She called me rude which is not in my nature. I said I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about I was not rude in any way towards you. Then a man walks up and proceeds to tell me I can't talk to her that way.
Bottomline the Owner seems to be confrontational and nasty. I will never be back!
These were good, classic tacos! Service was great, decor is bright, fun and unique, and the price was very reasonable. They have a great little salsa bar, too, with pico and other salsas to add to your tacos. The only reason for less than 5 stars is that the chicken was a tad dry, but I thought it was still delicious. (And it soaks up the tasty salsas better that way!) The guy next to me ordered shrimp fajitas, and it smelled amazing. I would definitely go back.
Got the pastor torta to go. Very nice people. Got there just at closing. Google map hours where wrong. I edited the hours and then my food was ready. Torta is good flavorful and spicy. Definitely going to stop in before closing next time I'm on town.
Seems like only one person takes your order here and she is pretty busy. I had to tell the lady that gave us our chips that we were ready to order our food and she went to get the lady who takes the orders but she went to the other 2 tables that got there after us and took care of them first...wasn't too happy. Not crazy about the salsa.
Extremely satisfied with my lunch visit. Food was great but the service and atmosphere really made it a fantastic experience.
