I ordered drive thru and Taco Johns changed the way I think about food… I thought I had had really good meals before, but good lord I never knew how great they were until my taste buds crossed paths with this travesty of a dining establishment! Thank you Mr. John for making me appreciate how truly blessed I am for every meal I’ve had that wasn’t here!
I love this place, friendly staff, fresh food and lightning fast. Event though I am a picky eater they still get it ready for me and fast. Thank you.
Took my husband and daughter out to dinner, food was cold.. other customer complained he waited for 45 minutes with no service. My burrito shell was hard and rice not cooked. Husbands food was over priced with no tomato’s in soft shell tacos.. soda was the best out of our meal. Never returning!
6 pk and a pound all day when on the go driving around all day running errands. Staff was congenial as well as the drive thru was fast, thoughtful, and excellent packed, hot, and served with manors. I was shocked most at that. What a wonderful relief some younger folks know what that is. Thanks for making my day.
I love Taco John's and have fond memories of going to the one on Linwood St in Oshkosh as far back as 1979 for Taco Tuesday and cherry Cokes; this was before Coke made cherry coke and TJ's would put cherry syrup in the coke by hand. When TJ's went out of business in Oshkosh I made the pilgrimage to Appleton as often as I could to get TJ's, I love Taco John's food and always have. Over the years I have had great customer service from them as well. Until today. Today was a work late Wednesday so our family was getting fast food for dinner. We choose Taco John's as we often do. I ordered and when I got home I found that my order was incorrect. I tried to call the restaurant to talk to the manager. They did not answer. Then I checked the receipt to see if I had been charged correctly and found out I was overcharged and I got the wrong food so I decided to run back to the restaurant and get the order straightened out. I went in and talked to a guy. I explained that I got two incorrect items, I showed him the items and that they were wrong, and I showed him on the receipt where they had charged me full price for two items when it was supposed to be buy one get one for a dollar. I asked if he could swap the items and discount the order to the correct total. He went in back to talk to the manager. I heard her say that there is no way the order was wrong as she made it and bagged it and that I would have to wait because they were busy. So I waited, I waited in the lobby from 6:00 until 6:48 when the manager finally came up front. When she did she said she was busy and the only one of the people there who could cook. I started to explain what I needed and she cut me off. She told me that the order was fine and that she would not be helping me and then she just walked away while I was still talking to her. So, yeah. Great job with the customer service TJ's Oshkosh on Sawyer. Seems like the GM or owner should spend some time their store.
The tostada was cold by the time I got home. Also, I asked for beans only, but there was hardly any beans on it. However, the potatoes ole was good as always.
Oshkosh Taco Johns is a steady place to go for a Taco and other Taco type food. The taste is decent for the price.
Since the Pandemic, the took down the fresh salsa and put up Taco sause packets.
Overall, a good quick meal that will satisfy an urge to eat.
We were happy to see that the dining room was open. The website had said it was closed. There is limited seating. Food came fast and fresh.
