I went through drive through, got home, given completely wrong order. Called and was apologized to. Fine, everyone makes mistakes right. Drove back, after the young man told me he would give me 2 free drinks. Went through drive up again, because it's pouring down rain and was greeted 6x with hold on, be with u in a minute, even once saying, hey guy, be with you soon. Got to window, same young man told me "hey momma"what did u order? I gave him my receipt, holding my tongue. He finally gave me my order and said have a good night. I said. What about my drinks. He gave them to me, walked away and said, " I can't F#$%%$' believe he is coming back" referring to a co worker. This is by far the worst service I have ever received in springfield. This young manager? has alot to learn about good PR. By the way, there was no one in the restaurant, so they weren't that busy. Will likely never go back!
My husband just went and picked up take out for our dinner. We got a taco package which was fine, 2 burritos which were fine, and four single tacos which were put in the bag on their end and when we took them out of the sack, all of the fillings fell out into the bag,, what a mess , the shells were soggy, broken up and they were ordered with no sauce and they had sauce on them. We are usually happy with the food from Taco Gringo,, but not tonight.
The food was good I personally didn't care for the seasoning I had chicken soft tacos still would recommend going

Taco gringo is always a must stop for me whenever i travel back home to Illinois. My family and i have been going for years. Cheap food but still great!
They were promoting fish tacos the day I was at the Springfield restaurant. But, I ordered the fish sandwich. It was big and tasty. High quality at a good price.
I stopped in here on a Saturday and there was only one couple inside eating. It was my first time eating here and probably my last I wasn't satisfied with the food or the service.
It's alway good and plenty to eat for the great prices.
