Best WLM Reviews

I have to give a shout out to a young man by the name of Chris for the excellent customer service!! My son and I stopped by because we were in town, and I love their taco burgers. While the lady at the counter messed up our order and then was rude to us like it was our fault, Chris, on the other hand, was so nice and helpful. The building is dirty and less than pleasurable due to the obvious lack of up keep by the owner with its cracked floors with missing tiles and a fake roof indoors just covered with cobwebs and dust. It was talking with Chris and watching him work so hard and taking pride in his job that we enjoyed.
First of all, May the female manager is spectacular. She is professional, kind, and appreciates her regulars that keep coming back. When she is working the food is on point and you can guarantee the service will be the best it can be. When she is not working the food can be hit and miss. But this location is considerably better then the memorial and western location.
One awesome thing about Taco Bueno is that they offer a veteran discount all year long and it really does help reduce the total cost of an order. This location is notorious for closing their lobby a good 10 to 20 minutes early when May is not working, and can be frustrating after walking a mile to get there before the actual scheduled closing time for the lobby. Even though the drive through is still open for an additional hour after the lobby closes.
Lastly this location does do a good job at keeping the interior clean even though the exterior definitely shows its age.
Good place for a quick bite to eat even when not super hungry. You can get small portions (line a taco or burrito) without buying a whole meal. The prices have gone up a lot. I hadn’t gone to Taco Bueno in a while and was surprised that the bean burritos are just under $2.50 each. Seems like a lot for a bean burrito- but maybe it is just inflation. All in all - the bean burritos are the best.
This is the oldest bueno I've ever been in! But it is nice and clean and the cashier was great. The people making the food were some of the slowest I've ever seen; using 2 hands makes things go much faster! The parking lot is very small, not much room for a truck with a trailer.
On 4-25-23 around 7pm ordered food through the drive thru, got home and was missing multiple items from my order. Drove back to the store, went inside and asked if my food could be made again because it was now cold and I was missing items. The worker was very rude and took it back to someone and the guy he took it to was screaming that he was not remaking my order just for missing a few items. I proceeded to say that I could just take a refund and then they insisted that they would remake it. After remaking it I went home and when I opened up my food none of it was made correctly. I paid extra for steak tacos and ended up with beef, most of my food barely had any meat in it at all. I will not be returning to this business. Horrible service and rude workers. I wish I could give 0 stars, do not recommend.
The food is fine but the people working here are rude and unprofessional. Something happened with their server that caused my card to be charged for less than my full total. Instead of just trying to run my card a second time, they argued with me and said the register showed I didn't have $10 in my account. I repeatedly said that wasn't the case and finally got them to try again and it went right through. It felt like a joke, I won't be back.
I want to first clarify that we love Taco Bueno, but somehow this specific location in Edmond is different. Last night we went there to get dinner for our family of 4, once we got home, we noticed that 1/2 of our food was missing,. At this point, I was frustrated, but not mad yet. I asked my teenager daughter to go back and have it corrected.
She took all the food back, and because it is important for us to eat together as a family, she asked them to remake the order so half of us would not eat cold food. Then she called me crying the poor excuse for a human who she spoke to was yelling at her, saying that he would not redo the order. This is a grown man, yelling at a kid because he was not good enough of an employee to make sure we received what we paid for. Because of his attitude we did not feel safe to eat any food he prepared, so she asked for a refund instead, which he refused. She waited for 20 minutes, while he begrudgingly completed this order, yelling the entire time about how stupid this was and thowing things around.
She got home with the correct number of items, however all the steak tacos we ordered were replaced by beef tacos, and a quesadilla, meant for a vegetarian family member, had meat in it. At this point it did not matter what was in that bag, we did not feel safe eating that food, threw it away and went to Chik fil A $50.00 and 1 hour of our time wasted, and no food at all, this was very frustrating, but the way my daughter was treated was infuriating. This was a completely hostile environment and the employees cannot put an order together. It should've not been that difficult we are talking about food for 4 people, not a large group, also there was no customization we ordered the items right out of their menu. I am never going back and I'm telling everyone I know how terrible this place is. I will also write to the corporate office, since I would like to know if someone was treating my customers that way. Don't waste your time and money on this dump.

Still a rough experience with quality and service. Photos were added of beef Taco salads that didn't quite make the cut.

Sad to say I spoke too soon last review. Tonight around 10pm the food was absolutely horrible. The potato burritos where busted open with potatoes so burned they hurt your teeth. The chicken quesadilla was a messed up wad of mess smashed in the wrapping like trash. Back to the usual ruining a good product with bad emoyees...

Service and food was great this time! I'm glad because I like taco Bueno and this one was rough for a long time.
Original post
Food not fresh as usual. There was one person in front of me at drive-thru and no people at the counter inside yet I was told to remind the person taking the order of how many hot sauce cups I wanted when I pulled forward as if to say that its improper to order at the same.
I like Taco Bueno but this place is constantly horrible and never fixes anything and I've lived near this one for nearly 15 years.
7.4.19 update
One person sitting in drive thru had to back up the car and get out of line. He said they hadn't taken his order and I had been there at least 10 min myself. Decided to bang on the glass real loud and a startled employee finally came out of the back to take the other guys order which took seconds as he pulled up to the window before I could exit the parking lot.
