Excellent help today from the full team - from the receptionist answering the phone at 08.15 who told me a nurse would call to triage shortly. Called within 15 minutes. She got me a video appointment with a Dr for 09.00 who called promptly & was a able to diagnose perfectly. Sent me a link for some exercises to do and faxed a prescription through to my local pharmacy. By 3pm feeling a lot better and although it may be a while till I am fully better, it feels like it is under control and I received all the help I needed in a friendly, prompt & and helpful manner. Great use of technology and just adds to my previous positive experiences with this practice over the last 3 years,
I was so disappointed about the fee structure of rust ave medical centre.We waited 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, it was ok for us as we areHealth professionals and understand "running late". We took 17 minutes for our appointment,
( 2 minutes extra ) and paid double the fee($39).
This is robbing. You should consider
our 20 minutes waiting time.
I have been a patient here for a long while now, along with my father and my son. doctors and nurses have been absolutely amazing the entire time and I really can't give them along with Melanie enough praise. However during recent times I have discovered a steep decline in customer service from the girls answering the phones. Not mention the horrific incident involving reception staff and an extremely elderly member of the public I was witness to on a recent visit. They are rude, disrespectful and invasive, I'm not ringing to discuss my medical issues with a receptionist, hence why we have a gp and access to lovely nurses at the practice. This is getting out of control and I'm now to the point where the doctor is my LAST port of call. I would rather spend $80 at white cross than have to try navigate my way through the extremely horrible people representing the practice.

No doctors , No service, always cancel the appointments on last moment, don’t have any respect to the public.
Cancelled my appointments 3 times, all the times they have only one reason to say “Doctor not available”. Who will pay for my time? I had arranged leave on my work place because of these appointments, useless guys.
Please public don’t waste your time booking an appointment with these guys, really useless.
Cannot speak highly enough of the staff so far. Only new here from Melbourne and am very happy with the service I've received. Keep up the good work.

My family relocated to Whangarei in May last year and finding a GP turned out to be quite the ordeal.
I was lucky to get my family enrolled at Rust Avenue and have had excellent service.
Special mention goes out to Nadine at Rust Avenue Medical who is an absolute GEM! She is professional, sympathetic to the client/patient's needs and responds promptly.

Lovely, friendly staff and a welcoming and professional environment. Both the nurse and doctor took the time to clearly explain the what’s and why’s, which really goes a long way towards making a patient feel comfortable. Absolutely recommended.
Very disappointed with appointment today. Doctor was 20 minutes late. Medication prescribed to me could not be given to me by the pharmacist as it could have an adverse effect with my current medication. The doctor had to be contacted about this and have had no further information.
