Very tasty. My favourite meal, wish they gave a bit more mash however they did give my daughter a free pie! Thank you ladies can’t complain

Great traditional pie mash quality food spotlessly clean good prices. When in Basildon you must go. Plus builders tea couldn't get better value.

Best pie and mash staff, great pies and mash and easy location to get to with parking nearby. My favourite place to go and they're probably sick of the sight of me with how often I'm there.

This is the real deal, not like the puff pastry pies served up elsewhere like lakeside.

The mash is how it should be, has the odd lump, the pies are the original pastry recipe and the Beef inside with the gravy is good stuff too. Just from tasting the food, don't think anything is prepacked or out of a jar, so I'm thinking that this stuff is cooked from scratch which you don't get much of these days. As far as value goes, yep good value and the banter from the ladies behind the counter comes for free, but that just makes the place welcoming, as for the liquor, tad too dark, more used to a lighter colour like I used to get here and back in the Smoke.

Will I go back? Keep going back and when in Southend I visit that shop too. Keep up the good work and don't let my food history die like so much of it has ????

The food here is really nice, good portion's and fairly priced. The eel's are absolutely great as is the liquor. I've also had the pie's here and they are also very nice. The staff are friendly as well. The only thing is it's a small place and seating can be hard when busy, the tables are small and chairs are close together because of seating space, so you're back to back with other customers when busy.

Really enjoyed the Meal so Tasty and the Staff are all lovely..
