Decent meal
The chicken wings were absolutely delicious, highly recommend
Entrecote steak looked far better than tasted, bit chewy but overall very decent. Steak with past was great and fish dishes looked tasty too

Went to meet people who were staying in the hotel.
Really disappointed.
Service was epically slow. Ordered a beer, waited 15 minutes to be served part post order.
Had a steak for 2 the Tomahawk. Meant to be 1.5kg. it was a terrible cut of meat. Full of fat, clearly not enough for 2.
Ordered a drink when the food was served, chased after 15 minutes, waited another 15 and it still wasn't served.
Just walk 15 minutes into town. Get something better!!!!!!
A beautiful restaurant, inside the hotel. We had drinks on the terrace which was nice, then went inside for dinner. We had sirloin steak and the meat was of good quality. But what's with receiving the hot stone at the table and cooking our meat ourselves? The meat stuck to the stone and wasn't even seared properly, ended up gray. This was a major disappointment and even a waste of good meat! I really prefer when a professional cook makes sure my meat is cooked as required. The hot stone is fancy but useless in terms of quality of the dinner. The pepper sauce was ok but too little quantity.
All in all, if I ever come back I certainly won't take the meat!
Nice Restaurant at the van der Valk Hotel. Good food for reasonable belgium prices. Nice personnel.
Very friendly staff, great food with a lovely atmosphere.
The Vietnamese Pho was absolutely horrible. Not even close to an automatic pho. A real pho is a explosion of flavours, Good broth and a good mix of veggies and spices.
What Van der Valk calls is Pho is just a bowl with rice noodles dumped sauted water. It's absolutely disrespectful to sell this meal for the almost 20 euro while the meal is absolutely disgusting..
If you can't cook it, don't sell it.. stick to the snitzel and fries
We had the friday buffet, was very nice, wide selection of food, hot and cold.
Plenty of different desserts.
Don't waste your time, they definitely will.
Service even during quiet hours is slow. Staff seem complacent or just don't care.
On first visit had to ask for a menu after waiting 15 minutes.. Drinks took another 15 minutes. Thirty minutes later inedible dry food arrived. (Too long under heat lamp?). It took another 15 minutes to get the attention of the manager after my server began to ignore me.
Second visit, during very quiet afternoon, my food order was completely forgotten. No one to checkup in the time since order, nor offer me another drink.
I give up. Just go in town.
