Unfortunately we booked based on the photos that are linked to this restaurant. Would not recommend. We spent one hour in the empty restaurant, literally the only two diners. Ordered two drinks each due to our wait time sitting on our own, waited a further 20 minutes for “charcuterie board” chips and olives. All of which clearly came from packages that would have taken very little time to be plated aswell as chip cooking time. To again be left alone for a long time before being asked how everything was by a miserable staff member. To eventually cutting our loses and leaving our food after eating a bowl of olives, hand-full of chips and two pieces of meat, to which was not questioned by the staff taking payment as why we had left nearly all of our food. I have worked in the service industry over the years and regardless would usually leave a tip based on how I understand people don’t always get sufficient training etc however the feeling of being blindly robbed by this one hour “experience” didn’t even consider it unfortunately. Would most definitely not recommend. Also I would not even give one star it was the only option fortunately for the company. Also have phots if anyone would like to see ????
DO NOT GO HERE - What a waste of space, walked in place was completely empty no barman, both waitresses were joking with the chefs in the kitchen area and made no effort to seat us or even engage with us. After 15 minutes of standing in an empty resturant waiting to be seen to we walked out.
Go for the early bird menu and save. Before 7 it's 3 courses for £20 and 2for1 cocktails. Saved us about 40%
Excellent food, good service
Well what can I say we went here after pre booking , 4 people we ordered starters which at best was poor, we orded mains of 2 x lamb shanks and 2 x steaks , the lamb shanks I kid you not , where solid and black the the steaks arrived without the sauce which we asked for they then after asking took the plates of steak to keep warm under lights awful service and we refused to pay , as we didn't get the food at the same time the lamb was awful and the bottle of wine was poor, don't go we went to sir T near there , was lovely
Very good, great location and service. Food and drink are excellent. The private meeting, drinking mezzanine is a great addition and means you look down on the surroundings but have the closeness and intimacy of the private gathering you want.
Thank you to David, Lucy and the team who ensured my pals and I felt incredibly welcome and taken care of when we visited NYL on Saturday.
The service and cocktails were both excellent and all set in a lovely spacious, covid-safe building - couldn't have asked for anything more!
Restaurant clean and tidy and the food was good,but for £25 a steak, it should be!
Staff took far too long to bring our food over,45 minutes to be honest and the service was standard.
Worst part of this experience was the extra charges they tried to put on the bill, £8.00 they had to refund us back.
When we first arrived we thought we had came in the the wrong w but we hadn't, it was quiet which was perfect, few items not on menu or the drinks bit the food and service off the Alice was exemplary, she apologised for not having items in but other than that she is the epitome of having a ypun member of staff spin everything from serving us our drinks to put food, will definitely coming back for a meal cannot fault anything
