Beyond delicious food I had a spaghetti and he had the lasagna. Really delicious and a prefect little place. Just hidden away from the touristy parts it wasn't very busy but an absolute hidden jem. I would recommend a visit. Food was simply fantastic.
Very nice cafe restaurant in Ghent to sit in the shade along a canal and enjoy some refreshments. Very good customer service.

We ordered 4 coffees and 4 slices of cheesecake.The waiter decided BY HIMSELF to give us half a slice of cheesecake and half a slice of apple pie, since they didn't have enough cheesecake. The crust of the apple pie was as hard as wood, the apples were old too. And we found that each of our slices of cheesecake had some dark particles on the outer side of the cake. It was fungus.
It is always a joy to visit Brooderie Jaffa, for a warm welcome, good coffee with delicious home made cake and the best falafel and moutabel in Gent.

After we asked if we could order coffee to take away, they treated us extremely poorly and “ordered” us to sit down. They made up our order by making 4 espresso when that was not even what we wanted. As a result, we decided to leave and the waiters started running after us with our alleged order. He forced us to take the coffee while we didn’t even pay for it, which turned into a big argument in the middle of the street. It was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing.
In short, rude and inconsiderate staff. We didn’t even have to taste the food to know it’s a trash place.
Quiet place, cheap drinks,very polite staff,nice view!
