Booked an appointment for a cut and colour and a manipedi with 2 different people back-to-back a month in advance. Showed up on time at 11 am and it took 10 minutes for someone to greet me. The lights were off in the front despite them being open and the middle of the work day. Turns out neither of the people who were supposed to work on me were there. One, Erica, was notified by phone by the person who greeted me. Mary, who was supposed to do my nails did not answer. Mary had 2 other clients waiting when I arrived as well. I waited a half-hour with no updates then left. Incredibly unprofessional. I went to Panache down the road and they fit me in on a cancellation.
You have to check out Denise @ New wave salon!! She is so talented and highly skilled. She transformed my hair and boosted my confidence. I'm so glad to have found my new hairdresser ???? Go check her out !!
Carol was really awesome to work with. Let alone the experience was so comfortable and relaxing. She went above and beyond to make sure I could get my hair trimmed and get my wax taken care of all in 1 place! I was a walk in customer with no appointment and she took care of everything for me and did a great job! This was my first time at this business and I will deffinently be retutning to see Carol again.
Brandi did phenomenal. I told her an idea I had and she exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely return!
Followed Marissa over from the old location. Glad I did. The new location is bigger, brighter and a better place on 10th West. Marissa always knows what's best for me ????. Love my hair.
This place is way too busy, and their stylists will fit you in with multiple appointments, leaving you to wait your turn endlessly.
My last visit here was a total disappointment. The stylist Erica who usually does my blow-out, picked up my wet towel after dropping it on the floor, and calmly tried to use it on me! I cringed and requested a fresh towel. I actually had to explain to her that that the towel was now dirty and shouldn't be used on me. During the actual appointment, she was rushed and distracted as she waited for another client to arrive. Once that happened, she put me on hold for a good fifteen minutes and explained that because I had been five minutes late for my appointment, I had no choice but to wait while she took her time putting color on the other client's hair. The last straw for me was when she barely put the finishing touches on my hair, and only proceeded to do so after I requested her to smooth out the rough edges. She also refused to accept payment via debit card, and made me go to a nearby ATM to draw out cash for her, which was highly inconvenient as I had my baby in a stroller with me. By the time I reached home, her so-called blowout was already wearing off and I ended up flat-ironing my hair as usual the next day, which was a complete waste of time and money. I am never going back to this place. There are more than enough businesses in the area that will actually give you your money's worth without having to beg for it.
This is a very well rounded Salon. I have never had a bad experience with anyone there. I've been going off and on for 10 yrs. The salon friendly and helpful. The whole salon has great feel as you walk in. From the front to the very back. Always decorated in theme of holiday and best part they really help each other here. I recently asked the manager for any contributions for my horse show association. Two weeks later 5 certificates from hair, nails to brows and more. They understand giving back to the community they work for is extremely important. Thank you Waves.
New Waves is a great place to go to get your haircut. The lady who cut my hair is named Becca. If you need to make an appointment ask for her! She is friendly, and very good at what she does. She is a great conversationalist as well. The rest of the staff are nice and friendly. I will continue to go there in the future. I hope you will too!
