We’ve eaten a LOT of Ethiopian and Eritrean food, both in Ethiopia and elsewhere around the world, and love it. The food here was mediocre by comparison with what we’ve had elsewhere, and the ambiance is lacking, with dim lighting and more of a bar atmosphere than a dining atmosphere. We were disappoint, also, by the small quantity and selection of vegetarian dishes in their vegetarian combo. Missing were most of our favorite and more savory items while the lack thereof seemed made up for by far more injera than necessary filling up space on the platter that in other places would have been occupied by more veggies. I will say that it’s hard to get good injera in most Ethiopian restaurants, containing a high percentage of teff. We did appreciate that, and that food was okay but missing many of the spices we’re accustomed to and that make Ethiopian food so rich and unique.
