This was my 1st time here at the marae, all i can say is wow, it is quite a large marae. i have heard many stories of Mangatoatoa Marae. Lest I return back to my roots. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will visit again in the near future.
Its a Very Beautiful light feeling youthful place with the foundation of Kaumatua touch. Spacious in the wharenui love the warrior that stands in the centre of the wharenui looking out towards the entrance the carving is absolutely beautiful handsome in its wake. The Kai whare is well structure the set up in the kitchen is set out that there's no cross over. The cleaning down one end, preparation of the kai the other end. Even the wharepaku layout is thoughtful and spacious.
Before coming onto the Marae Hand Sanitizers at the entrance now that is great and very thoughtful.
Such a welcoming environment amazing stuff happens there ????
