Bellissimo...
It’s rare to have one’s very high expectations exceeded but La Sponda was truly an unforgettable experience. Our server Giovanni and the numerous other staff members who we met over the evening made our dinner worth every penny and more. We were celebrating our anniversary and they acknowledged it several times through the evening. The food was excellent, great wine recommendations, and the ambiance could not be beat. We have been to Positano 3 or 4 times and will certainly be back next time if we can get a reservation. Thank you La Sponda team!
High quality restaurant in Positano with immaculate service and brilliant views overlooking the sea. The service staff were flawless and very attentive. The food is truly Italian but different style, the chef add his style and signature to every dishes. The music and entertainment just lift up the restaurant to the next level. Most of the dishes are simple but have complex flavors and techniques. It was a great experience.
We decided to throw the budget out of the window and go to La Sponda for one of our dinners in Positano. The food was great, but it’s the service and atmosphere which makes your final bill make more sense. We ended up spending €165 per person for a dinner with two appetizers, two mains, dessert and a bottle of wine to share. We recently got engaged, and the staff brought out a number of complimentary items to celebrate which was thoughtful. The service is impeccable and we were very well taken care of. This is a fun special dining experience in Positano. If we were to do this again, we’d instead book for lunch or closer to sunset to make the most of the view.
One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to. The views were unmatched, decor was gorgeous, and service was exceptional. The food was really good but nothing outstanding for what you would imagine in this type of environment and price point. We had the tasting menu and some dishes were better than others. I would absolutely go for the experience if you’re looking to indulge yourself in beauty and atmosphere.
We were extremely excited to try this place we had heard so much of in anticipation of our trip to Positano. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, the restaurant was beautiful, the views were fantastic, service was on point and we also enjoyed the live music. I had higher expectations on the food, the dishes in general needed more seasoning, dishes were very bland. The best dish we had was the Cacio e Pepe, that was the best dish with the most flavor. I am glad for the experience, but wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again.
