My family and I stopped in for some sandwiches before our train and had a wonderful experience. The owner made us large sandwiches that were delicious and cheaper than the local Panos. Also very quick so it's great if your short on time.
It was: Delicious, Efficient and Affordable
Very helpful staff and nice setting, just a few yards away from the Menin Gate memorial. Cheese and ham panini could have done with at little longer on the grill to make sure all the cheese had melted but delicious anyway. Pot of tea (English Breakfast) was very much appreciated.
Stopped by for a quick bite, just a panini and cola. Very good with friendly and helpful staff. Food is good service is fast.
Had the pulled pork panini peices of chopped fatty pork microwaved with onion and covered in bbq sauce from a plastic squirty container.Partner had chicken cheese pesto panini with no visible pesto.,sliced processed chicken
Took 20 mins ,lady by herself. She did apologise for food delay.2 ok latte coffee total cost 22 euro..dont think we'll go again.
Considering how unbelievably expensive the cafes are in Ypres this is an amazing find. They do baguette style sandwiches which are amazing and huge. Tasty, well priced and just off the main square.
My tip is that unless you’re very very hungry then one between two is enough (think 12 inch Subway size).

Arrived late in Ypres so limited choice for late lunch, found Karamel by chance, we had really good sandwiches and beers, really well made and good price, very good service with a smile.
Love this place.
Yorkshire tea and an express coffee.
