Quick Facts About Gentlemen's Corner Barber Parlor

Gentlemen's Corner Barber Parlor has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Here is an analysis of these aspects:
Strengths:
1. Appointment recommended: The fact that appointments are recommended suggests that the barbershop is in high demand and has a stable customer base. This indicates that the quality of service provided by the barbers is likely to be satisfactory for customers to make appointments in advance.
2. Perfect haircuts: Several customers praised the barbershop for providing perfect haircuts. This shows that the barbers have the skills and expertise to deliver satisfactory results consistently.
3. Friendly and welcoming environment: Many customers mentioned feeling welcome and appreciated at the barbershop. This suggests that the staff creates a friendly and inviting atmosphere, making customers comfortable during their visits.
4. Master barbers: The mention of Jeff Elrey as a master barber and the possibility of other skilled barbers in the parlor implies that the barbers have a high level of expertise in their craft. This can be reassuring for customers who value the skill and precision of their haircut.
Weaknesses:
1. Uncomfortable and unprofessional experience: Some customers had negative experiences with their barber, specifically Carlos, the owner of the barbershop. They mentioned unprofessional behavior such as recording customers without consent, rushing through haircuts, and making comments that were inappropriate or offensive. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of service provided by Carlos.
2. Complaints about handling wet hair: Multiple customers mentioned complaints from Carlos about cutting wet hair. This can be concerning for customers who have been to other barbershops where wet hair is routinely cut without any issues. The barbers should be equipped to handle wet hair efficiently and professionally, regardless of the weather conditions.
3. Inadequate attention to detail: A customer mentioned that their hair was not adequately trimmed, despite specifically requesting it. This suggests a lapse in attention to detail and may be seen as a lack of professionalism by some customers.
4. Blaming customers: In some instances, the blame for issues during the haircut was shifted onto the customers, such as blaming sensitive skin for cuts or thin hair for not providing desired results. This can be seen as unprofessional and may create an uncomfortable experience for customers.
In conclusion, Gentlemen's Corner Barber Parlor has some notable strengths, such as the need for appointments, perfect haircuts, a friendly environment, and reputed master barbers. However, there are weaknesses that the barbershop should address, including unprofessional behavior, issues with handling wet hair, inadequate attention to detail, and blaming customers for problems. These weaknesses can impact the overall customer experience and should be resolved to maintain a positive reputation and retain customer loyalty.

Appointment recommended. But was it worth the wait without one? YES! But they are busy so appointment would be recommended. Kids haircut $20 as of 3-3-23
I was a new client today, barber moved away had to start looking for a new one, thought this would be a good place since a friend recommended Carlos. Right from the beginning I had a terrible experience. It's Az, it's hot. He made a huge deal about me sweating and claimed his clippers wouldn't work well on wet hair. He started drying me off with their blow dryer and I noticed he was RECORDING it and laughing. As the haircut went on, I realized he was rushing. Didn't put shaving cream on before using the straight razor, and then was very surprised when I started bleeding profusely on my neck. Later he started wrapping up and putting gel in my hair, and I realized he didn't trim the top. When I asked him to, he made a comment about my hair being too thin and continued to say he doesn't usually cut peoples hair that is as thin as mine. When I asked about the recording at the end of the cut, he brushed it off and claimed he only sent it to one person. Overall, I was uncomfortable from beginning to end at this barber shop, especially with the owner/barber Carlos. Recording clients, making comments and rushing through a service someone paid for is not a good look for your business, or for your "19 years of experience".
Perfect haircuts. They take their time each time. Well worth the money. Tip well or wake up with dandruff.
Jeff is an amazing barber!! Great local spot to get your cut!!
Sent my friend in as a new client because his barber moved and I've been to Carlos before. My friend came out with a horrible experience. Right away Carlos started complaining about sweat (it's 105 in Tucson today) and that it was hard to cut with his clippers. Must have been his clippers cause people cut wet hair all the time. He even recorded a video to send to his girlfriend! Such a creep move. My friend then sent me pics of his neck, which was totally cut up and bleeding, and Carlos apparently blamed my friend for not warning him about having sensitive skin... "Not cool bro". Are you kidding me?! He rushed and complained the whole time. I can't believe I sent him to this awful person and barber who claims to have 19 years experience under his belt. And my friend was too nice to refuse to pay and STILL tipped. Please give your business to anybody else.
The owner has been cutting my hair for 20 plus years . Great person and friend awesome Barber. I had never had a bad haircut with him.
First time here, I was a walk in and Carlos helped me out. Absolutely recommend this barbershop for anyone who likes to feel welcome, and enjoys a clean and organized shop. 5/5
Ever get a haircut from a Master Barber? Jeff Elrey gave me the most complete, masterful Master Haircut I've ever had, and I strongly suspect he's in good company with the other barbers at Gentlemen's Corner Barber Parlor. A very friendly, professional and caring group, this is the place to get your hair cut in Tucson. Well done!
