Quick Facts About Furman Barber Shop

Furman Barber Shop has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the place, it is important to analyze each comment individually.
One recurring theme in the comments is the skill and expertise of Dave, the head barber at Furman Barber Shop. Multiple customers praise him for providing excellent haircuts and being exceptional at his craft. They mention that he attends to their requests and creates the desired look, showing attention to detail. This suggests that one of the strengths of Furman Barber Shop is the skill and proficiency of the barber.
Related to Dave's skills, some customers mention that he attended a top-notch barber school, which adds credibility to his expertise. This indicates that Furman Barber Shop prioritizes hiring skilled barbers and may have a reputation for providing high-quality service.
In addition to his skills, customers comment on Dave's personality and the friendly atmosphere at Furman Barber Shop. Many mention that Dave is a welcoming and friendly barber who makes them feel comfortable during their visits. This creates a positive environment and contributes to a pleasant experience for customers.
Another positive aspect of Furman Barber Shop mentioned in the comments is its old-school ambiance. Customers describe it as clean, quaint, and nostalgic. They appreciate the little trinkets and evidence of Dave's hobbies around the shop, which adds to the charm. This suggests that the shop has a unique and appealing atmosphere, which can be a strength in attracting customers who enjoy the retro feel.
Several customers mention the affordability of Furman Barber Shop. They state that the prices are reasonable and don't cost a fortune like some other classic barbershops. This can be seen as a strength as it makes the services accessible to a wider range of customers and may attract price-conscious individuals.
However, there are also some negative comments and criticisms of Furman Barber Shop. One customer mentions that they had a bad haircut and felt that Dave was "clipper happy." They state that it will take a few cuts at a different barbershop to fix the uneven cut caused by Furman Barber Shop. This suggests that there may be a lack of consistency in the quality of haircuts provided, which can be seen as a weakness.
Another customer expresses disappointment in the lack of appointment availability at Furman Barber Shop. They state that it is a walk-in only shop, which may result in wait times for customers and make it inconvenient for those who prefer scheduling appointments in advance. This can be seen as a limitation and a potential weakness for customers who have busy schedules.
Additionally, a few customers mention that Furman Barber Shop only accepts cash payments, which may be inconvenient for those who prefer using cards. This limitation in payment options may deter potential customers, especially in a time where electronic payment methods are increasingly common.
Overall, Furman Barber Shop has strengths in terms of skilled barbers, excellent haircuts, friendly service, old-school ambiance, and affordable prices. However, there are weaknesses in terms of inconsistent haircuts, lack of appointment availability, and limited payment options. By addressing these weaknesses, Furman Barber Shop can enhance the overall customer experience and improve customer satisfaction.

Best KBFKR Reviews

I only gave a star so I could make this review I've had better hair cuts at the corporate cut places . This guy is clipper happy and now it's gonna take a few cuts at a real barbershop to fix the uneven cut this shop gave me. I went here due to seeing all the good reviews they must be phony or they must love bad cuts. Steer clear of this place and Dave its butcher
Dave, head barber at Furman Barber Shop, provides me the perfect haircut every time. He is exceptional at his craft. How did I find Dave? I had visited a barber shop in downtown Greenville, and the haircut was not at all what I asked for at all. I was very disappointed. I had an acquaintance of mine suggest I go see Dave immediately, as he attended one of the best barber schools in the country. Upon seeing him, Dave had no problem making the haircut look exactly how I wanted. Since then, I only go to Furman Barber Shop, because I won’t settle for anything but the best. And that’s precisely what Dave provides. Not only that, I find Dave to be one of the most upstanding men I know. And it’s his attention to detail that makes Furman Barber Shop the top-ranked barber shop in Greenville.
Walking through the doors of Furman Barber Shop is like stepping back in time—a much better time. The shop itself is clean and quaint. Dave, the barber, is a refreshing human being with a unique personality,. The room might be full of people but he will take his time with you and make you feel as if you’re the only person there. There are little trinkets around the shop, evidence of Dave’s latest hobbies. The man loves his wife and family. And he’s excellent with the scissors! If he can make my head look good, he can make anybody’s head look good. Stopping by that magical place is strangely therapeutic and when I leave, I can’t wait for my hair to grow back so that I can return. One more thing: as there are no appointments but only walkins, a man might have to wait for a moment. Don’t stop by if you’re in a hurry but certainly if you want to relax and have a good time. Sneak in a mini bottle or two, like I do, and enjoy yourself. And make sure you give Dave a good tip because he deserves it.
I was a walk-in after spotting the shop the other day. I was treated very courteously, and received probably the best haircut I've had through a multi-year search of about 20 barbers, after my old barber retired. I also like that, as of this writing, the shop is opened until 3pm on Saturdays, something that used to be commonplace, but has become very rare at classic barbershops. The price was good, and didn't cost a fortune like many of the upgraded classic barbershops charge. Definitely a barbershop to which I'd return. Note that it is a walk-in only shop, no appointments, and you'll need cash, not card.
Dave is my go-to barber. He attended a top-notch barber school and it shows. I always leave with a quality haircut. In addition, Dave has a unique personality that makes you feel welcome. Hard worker. Always can count on him to be there.
Great hair cut. Friendly barber. They don't take cards or appointments. Very old school.
First time customer today. Excellent haircut by David. Just met the guy and I feel like we've been friends for years. Enjoyed some laughs and good conversation, along with his attention to detail when cutting my hair. Good find here.
Great barber. I am from out of town so I was nervous to go to someone new but this place was great. Awesome job and awesome conversation. I will be going back . They also take walk ins.
