Best WLM Reviews
We’re very serious with fries. Explorers looking for the best fries in the world. Came here as it seemed quite well reviewed. Place was clean, workers were nice and quick. However the fries were quite average and did not exceed our expectations. Nice snack place but maybe not for fries.( Finished them tho cause wasting food is bad). Still on the quest for the best fries
Good food for good value at the center of Antwerp. We stopped by Frituur no1 spontaneously as we were let down by the food at the Christmas market and this place saved our lunch.
The fries were thinly cut, probably by hand since they were uneven in thickness, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The chips were well seasoned and nicely coated with salt. The unevenness of each piece brought a nice textural variation. Their curryworst is also a good option on the side, their portions are on the smaller side compared to other frituurs in Belgium.
Unfortunately, the sauces aren't house-made, but they use a good ketchup. Overall, Frituur no1 is a good option to rest and enjoy some frites.
disgusting food, truly disgusting, paying 20€ for overfried fries, plastic wannabe cheese, and “chicken” fingers. Never going back again and do not recommend to anyone who care about their body and tastebuds at least a tiny bit. The lady is funny but we didn’t get any napkins????
ps. sauces are not that bad
Quite pricey for what you get, and the wait can be a drag. Not the fanciest spot for dining in, but the upside is they’re open late into the night, perfect for a post-bar or clubbing snack.
Tasty Belgian fries! For 4 euro you get a good quantity and there is a seating area where you can enjoy them.
Waiting time is short and the location is prime, in the heart of the city
Good fries and mostly everything is fried (meat and sausage options). They have a hugh variety of dips. The only thing was the communication, the guy who served me brought something different than ordered but later I got the right fries.
The fries were fresh, warm, and heavily salted, which pairs well with beer. This spot had seating area and the prices were normal - €5 for a large fry and €1-3 per sauce.
The only downside was that the server was abrupt and unfriendly.
Good fries, generous sauce portion, good saté. As a Belgian,I was unsure if this would be a good place, but most complaints are either from tourists with no clue, or locals who online-assassinate a place based on location or amount of tourists (I understand healthy skepticism but it's unfair negative bias)
