Consistently the best fries I've tasted in the neighbourhood. Far better than the supposedly best frie places in Brussels. To be fair, Chez Clementine sometimes has terrific fries too, but they're inconsistent. Haven't been disappointed at Chez Eugène so far. Also the large portion is actually large.

One suggestion, for me the old school candy vending machines could make place for something to sit on or anything else that would make the place inside a bit more cosy.
Prepare thyself; this place is the stuff of legends. The service will make you think you are fighting dragons for worthiness of your dinner, but the chips are manna from Narnia. THE best in Brussels, served in the most unlikely setting (a prefab hut at a railway station) by rather gruff personages. The hours of service are patchy but the chips, oh the chips!
It’s all worth it in the end. Be brave, be bold, and be there with cash only.
For me perfect frites, taste fresh, not stale or over fried or burnt, as is case in many places.One of best three in Brussels. Nearby fritkots at Place St Job, Bourdon or Drogenbos are clearly inferior.
Expensive, you can't pay with card and customer service is 2/10 (except if it's the guy serving, he's nice). The food is good tho
