Best WLM Reviews

I was starving so went there without looking at reviews and it was what I regretted.
I ordered grilled salmon with boiled potatoes. So far, grilled salmon was ok. The skin was crispy but was too dry and tasteless. Similar to salad, just mixed vegetables with sprinkles of salad dressing.
I'm kind of disappointed with the price I paid. The waiter was attentive. But what I ordered was disappointing.
Looking for a taste of mussels in Brugge, but didn’t want a busy restaurant. Unfortunately didn’t look at the reviews before I sat down. Ordered the mussels provinciaal. A sort of tomato salsa. With chips. Mussels weren’t that bad. Not the best I’ve tasted. Some broken shells in there and a few to small muscles. Chips were okay. Could have been crunchier and moister inside. Luckily I did enjoy the lunch. Wasn’t anything special though.
Service is weird and not to helpful. Not something I’d visit again, but not as bad as all the reviews I didn’t consult on forehand.
Terrible and extremely overpriced place!
We were in 4 people, I had prawns as starters, it’s reaaaally a starter 3 prawns only, it was ok nothing different or super delicious. The prawn croque was only one croquete and it was small.
The most expensive beer in Brugge, and also the worst. The beer tastes like if it had off, terrible and it costed €10.
The main dish was the Flemish stew, and the meat was overcooked and hard.
My friend had “fish and chips” a ridiculous 4 fisher fingers and chips ( two dishes came with fries and the portions were different even though the dishes were the same).
The price would be ok if the food was ok, although taking in consideration that barely everything was almost ok, it was expensive.
Maybe something else for
Their menu could be better, but definitely I we won’t return to this place.
Stopped in for a quick lunch and we’re very happy with what we found. We went with simple items from the menu, but all of it was executed well. My salad had a wonderful range of ingredients to keep the palate interested. The prawns were freshly cooked to perfection and it was not over dressed which made the whole thing refreshing. The apple pie and waffle were both tasty and generous portions. The omelette was fresh and properly cooked. The table next to us ordered steaks and they looked excellent.
This restaurant's service was catastrophically close to nonexistent! We waited an excruciating 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and to make matters worse, half of them were forgotten. It took an additional painful 15 minutes to finally receive them. As if that wasn't bad enough, the prices were outrageously high for the minuscule portions and poor quality of food served. It's clear they're only surviving because they're located in a heavily touristy area, preying on unsuspecting visitors. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting time and money!
You could still call it food, but you should avoid this place. The dishes were exactly as promised, yet somehow in every aspect disappointing. The salads we got with the dishes where dry, the meat didn't look or taste fresh. And my girlfriend who loves dessert didn't finish her apple pie, that's a first..
A ‘croque’ of b0llocks…
We were duped into entering by the €25 set menu (which seems like a good deal) until the mains are outlined to you so you order off the main menu which has been priced to ensure the towns extensive canal system is maintainable for the next decade.
The water is €7.50 a bottle (tap water not available), the beer is €10 a go and the food quality isn’t great and really pricey.
I’ve had better mussels and the chips were clearly cooked from frozen which is sacrilege for Belgium!
The croque monsieur was a bang average cheese and ham toasty!
All round, not a great experience for a €90 lunch.
For all tourists that read the review before ordering, get up and walk out... as a Belgian I can honestly say this doesn't represent us at all and is a horrendous way of luring tourists.
I paid 28 euro's for 8,5 scampi's with fries that didn't come with any sauce. Out of lazyness the fries were to be shared with my girlfriend who had her own dish?
The waiter almost spilled soup on another costumer and was angry at the customer for saying something. (Very unprofessional)
I paid 5,5 for a Jupiler out of a can and was seriously contemplating on leaving without paying. You have been warned.
