Positive: Excellent location! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good size and with nice view on the river. And if you are hungry, the restaurant is downstairs. Would definitely recommend!. Negative: Nothing, we spent one night as part of our weekend in Les Ardennes, and it was great for that.
Positive: Fabulous location. We stayed one night only and were quite happy with the room. Initially we heard the neighbors through the walls on arrival but nothing during the night and we slept quite well. The bathroom was functional with a nice, hot shower. We didn’t use any other facilities in the hotel..
Hotel was average, but standard for a hotel in a small town in that area. Small rooms, tiny bathroom. But they have a good italian restaurant in the building, and breakfast was also very good. Located in the very centre of the town, so perfect to visit the town and its surroundings.
We stayed at this hotel, which is located close to the centre of the small town of Bouillon, at the other side of the river Semois. The reception is not always open (at least not during the week in Autumn and Winter), so make sure you make good arrangements (but probably you will get called yourself by the landlady like we did). The rooms are very quiet; bathrooms are a little bit outdated but clean. We really liked the breakfast, with a lot of choice for vegetarians and delicious pastry. One negative point: the corridors and stairways were quite dark and not all light buttons were working.
The hotel is central in a nice position close to everything.||The reception is almost always closed, and you have to go to the next door restaurant Il Padrino (same owner) if you need anything. Not the best, but manageable. Most of the people I met at the reception don't speak English, but many other languages are spoken (French, Dutch, Italian and I think German too)||The room was simple but comfortable. Clean on a first look, but not in details and definitely not on the second day of my stay (the didn't clean up the bathroom).||Breakfast was good, not a buffet and for 8 euros I thought they could do better then that.||Overall is an ok hotel, i would give an average review, but for that price is not good enough.
Enjoy staying in this hotel as it reminds Alsace houses. Well located about 10' drive to the Castle. The restaurant has a good service and cuisine. Breakfast is excellent. Overall quality still the same as of 5 years ago. Nice to open the window early morning and have the river view.
Bouillon is a sleepy river town and the Duc de Bouillon sits on a steep narrow side street. We stayed on a Monday evening and may have been possibly the only guests at the hotel that evening. The hotel clerk was waiting for us to arrive and was very friendly but spoke very little English. She directed us to an on street parking spot about a block from the hotel. Apparently, the hotel has no reserved parking available? Our rooms were on the second floor (no elevator). Rooms were clean and comfortable. The family room was excellent with a bunk bed and a play area in an attached room. The restaurant was closed as were also all the shops and eating establishments after 6:00 (I assume since it was Monday?). The location is excellent right on the main intersection adjacent to the bridge that puts you in close walking proximity to the other half of Bouillon. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with a table per for my family. Service was superb with the owner providing special attention to the children’s needs. There are hotels with better ratings in Bouillon, but they are located away from the city center. I would not hesitate to stay at the Duc de Bouillon again.||||I would like to have had guaranteed parking. During a busier time, you may need to leave your car a ways from the hotel.
Fantastic location right in the middle of Bouillon. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Service was excellent as well - we ordered pizza from the restaurant downstairs, which they now serve at a table inside the room due to COVID restrictions. Great to have such a restaurant-like experience after a few months of lockdown ????
