Had a decent meal when we come to have something to eat. Waitress was polite and attended to our needs. Minor miss understanding when wanting to use the toilet, wasn’t clear which one was the mens toilet as the person just pointed over there.
Food arrived in a reasonable time.
I loved the location, there where events to could see happening on the main square, without moving.
We sat outside but the inside , had good decor as well.
The price does not match the quality of the drinks. Hot chocolate that is cocoa… The waiter invites us to an untidy table, after attracting attention, as if nothing had happened, he takes someone's things and puts them next to him. I asked the staff for the bill three times. The blonde lady ignored the request and ignored everything else. I got the bill after asking 3 times from another waiter. The room was empty, so I don't think it was due to the amount of work
We had some tapas, fries (which I'm told Belgium is famous for) and veggie spring rolls. One beer and one wine. The beer and wine were good, the food, not so much. I would have given them a lower star rating however, in fairness, I shouldn't expect much from fried food. Pretty sad especially for the price. Service was really good and the atmosphere terrific.
Really nice place to have a bite to eat. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food really yummy with good portion sizes. Heaters in the outdoor areas, so nice and warm even when eating outside. Food was so nice we decided to go back a second time later in the evening to have waffles which were lovely. Blasus iawn! Diolch yn fawr ????????????????????????????
A decent restaurant in the grote markt. Lovely view, pleasant atmosphere. The waiter spoke english and was friendly. The food was quite tasty and ample portions.
It's easier to sit in the terrace at around dinnertime than in the terrace porch as they want those tables for those eating. If you sit there especially when it's raining which happened to us they tell u it's for eating. This waiter was efficient and pleasant.
The place is totally ok. Food is ok for a snack at least. Omelette was ok. Inside it’s comfortable and warm.
Only had breakfast it was okay, but the service was awful, watched scores of people come in, sit down, get ignored, get up and leave. You practically have to flag down a waiter by standing on your table, naked, to get any level or service.
Edit: they charged me for the wrong waffle and my bill of 4 drinks, two of which were non alcoholic, was €40. The staff were otherwise fine though and treated us fine.
Look people, it's a tourist trap. It's always going to be more expensive than equal quality places off the beaten track, but I had a great time for a moderate price.
It was throwing it down with rain and freezing cold, but they had a fire on the patio and offered us blankets. We had two drinks each, the beer being very refreshing, and enjoyed the best waffle we've had in Belgium so far. It was on the pricy side, but it wasn't a visit I regretted.
