Had an appointment with Caprice. I can’t comment on her work because she was a no show. Her colleague insisted she sent out a message through Styleseat but she didn’t. Styleseat sent multiple alerts/reminders for the appointment and there was no message that she would not be there. The struggle is real with these stylists. Good luck, ladies.
Today I went to Porsha and she was hands down the best. Great prices. Talked to me about my hair. Listened to my concerns, and made great suggestions. I will be returning as a regular to see her and I’m excited. My hair turned out so cute!
I found out about this salon on StyleSeat and I came here for my first silk press and trim a few weeks ago. I was really impressed throughout the entire experience. The salon was super clean & had a great vibe to it.
My stylist was Jaya Vinson. She was extremely professional, gentle with my hair, and walked me through every step of the process. My hair came out great & I look forward to my next visit !!
Being a salon assistant here is nice if you are pretty and cute and less mature than your boss but it helps when I have mommy duties from time to time on the other other side. I love Caprice King but out know how us salon assistants have a different kind of love we are in to
Went to one of the stylists at this spot. Her work was solid (outside of her knack for having excess netting around the perimeter of her sew-ins) and she was fairly professional (or so I thought) minus her frequent tardiness/ running over with earlier clients (had to wait ~1 hour on two of the four occasions of me being there. And one of them resulted in me needing to reschedule because of the discrepancy in the appointment slot and the actual duration of the service. But that’s not the worst of it. )
I went in for a take down service among other things after rocking the sew in for ~6 weeks. Long story short, two of my VERY expensive, luxury bundles were swapped out while I asked her to wash them after the takedown/ during her styling of my new install. It took me about a week to notice it, since I had to rush out when I left the salon and just threw the hair in my bag. When I reached out to the stylist, she of course denied know about it, and even tried to tell me it could have been the hair…
It’s so unfortunate because I referred two people to this salon and since advised them to STAY AWAY because of this, including someone who worked with another stylist. I personally won’t support or encourage anyone I know to support a spot where this happens… makes me worry what else could be swapped/stolen while at the shop.
If the owner wants to reach out, I will share with her the details of the stylist. For everyone else… be wary…especially if you have high quality hair…if you plan to buy from the stylist or not do extensions you may be fine….but keep in mind this is what AT LEAST one person does… I hope the bundles were worth it though….
I found this place through an appointment platform StyleSeat. I had to scroll through 20+ businesses before finding Chow Bella. I'm so glad I was determined to find a hairstylist i can trust to do a great job.My hairstylist Caprice is very professional and knowledgeable. I had a wig install and style done and I looked fabulous. If you want quality work done, please hurry and book an appointment.
I went here on a whim and I was really satisfied with my stylist. Her name was Paris and she was honestly really lovely. She shampooed my hair herself and ensured I got treated with conditioner for my highlights. The price was spot on for my services. Once she blow dried my hair she asked how I wanted it and did exactly that. Thank you so much Paris ❤️
My daughter scheduled an appt via an app for Caprice and inadvertently did not receive the reminder notice from the app....thus missing the appt. She'd scheduled it so far in advance she'd forgotten about it. She didn't realize it until $125 was withdrawn from her account! She called and spoke with the owner, Caprice to see if she could have a reprieve to maybe get her hair done or not keep as much of her money as she had. As a new resident to Northern, VA my daughter was looking for a new stylist and also new at navigating hair appointments this way in this area. Caprice was rather abrupt with my daughter and rude. Very unprofessional to say the least. I attempted to speak with her and her tone was just as abrupt with me. Caprice was absolutely unwilling to compromise whatsoever. No flexibility at all. She'd rather take your hard earned money than to earn your business. I would stay FAR away from this salon unless you know without a shadow of a doubt you WILL be there regardless of unforseen circumstances. Oh, and watch out for added fees for appointments during certain times....yes, they charge you extra for that! I would not do business with ANYONE who lacks compassion for people during these unprecedented times, but instead takes advantage.
