To start Richard was very short when answering the phone. I took my vehicle into him twice for the same issue “carburetor” and paid him for both transactions. Once receiving his payment Richard seem to be nicer. But my honest opinion he cut my services short and looked at me as an easy buck. Even after the second encounter he wasn’t confident that the issues were fixed in his own work and assumed I would most likely still have to come in and purchase an all new carburetor for him to install being my 3rd time in for the same issue. With carburetors they can be rebuilt, at a cheaper cost. So purchase a brand new one wouldn’t be necessary. Just an easier job for him to make money on.
This is the place to go for custom exhaust work. Richard knows hot rods & what is required to make a system functional and attractive. Guys with his kind of talent are a dying breed. He was honest, on time and no nonsense from start to finish. Keep in mind, you will most likely have to schedule in advance as his services are in demand. I scheduled my job with Cherry Automotive about two weeks ahead of time.
Too busy to schedule a 1 day cat job, even after willing to wait 2-3 weeks. Only does "custom work" now. Too busy to even write up a quote and email it, or honor a previous quote because "he's just too busy".
My family helped support this business when he first started out, getting exhausts on my mustang, brothers 300zx and my Dads 67 Chev C-10 pickup.
To have my business turned away at this crucial time, getting my daily driver to pass emissions, is truly disappointing...
Rich at Cherry has saved me lots of money on repairs. I appreciate his honesty and quick service. He even helped with towing when I waited for 4 hours for my insurance company to help in the winter weather. I'm glad I changed insurance for that reason!!! Thank you Rich! Most definitely recommend to my family and friends for an awesome job in saving me money and great service!!!
Our family loves Cherry Automotive and has been using Rich for car repairs for years! He is nice, affordable and does quality work, fast! Thank you for always taking care of our needs Rich. We’ll be back for years to come!
I've had enough great service and phenomenal visits with Rich on top of the best work done on my nephews old truck that I can write a book. This wonderful soul knows his trade from head to toe. We rely on Rich for it all.
Worst place ever. Do not ever take your car here.
Took my car for a second opinion.
They straight up lied about needing new brakes and rotors when there was just a rock in my break pads.
After being recommended by a friend, I learned for myself that Rich over at Cherry Automotive does it right. He doesn't jack up part prices, his labor fees are reasonable, and he does quality work. He has helped me with some unique issues on an older vehicle and the problem stays fixed! He has even towed my car when broke down for an extremely reasonable price. If I call with a unique question or needing a quote, he takes the time to get his info straight and then always calls me back in a timely fashion. Highly recommend.
One small issue to know of, the location is a bit tricky to find: from where the location marker shows up on Google maps, head north on 150W until you hit the turn-around circle. The garage is located to the north-west of the circle.
