Beautiful little area. You can drive your car across the covered bridge to get further into the area without walking. If you park before the bridge, there's a gorgeous little river that provides for great picture opportunities.
I took my German Shepherd and she was able to follow along really well. Even crossing the bridge wasn't a stretch for her, she had a great time!
Super cool bridge built in 1991. The recreation area adjacent has been closed for some while as the Chequamegon National Forest keeps closing more and more sites due to "budget". Luckily this gem is still maintained.
Nice short drive off highway 70 to the covered bridge. Not historic per say but an engineering feat. Very nice area, we picked up quite a bit of garbage from ignorant people. Campground was remote primarily a horse campground with many marked trails nearby.
Live nearby. Visit often. So peaceful and beautiful every season. Disappointed with all the graffiti (carvings, paint etc.) I see others have the same concern. Wish someone would do something about it. Cameras maybe? Now the numskulls are tagging the historic dam too. What is wrong with people?
Easy to get to off of 70. Likely won’t have any phone reception. We went in the winter and couldn’t walk around much. We’ll have to try in the summer.
Nice little leg stretch. Beautiful bridge you can drive across, pay on your own camping.
Took my grandmother here and she relived her youth. Beautiful little park area next to the bridge. Beautiful and quiet. The even have a restroom and grills.
Awesome covered bridge in a very tranquil location. These are a dying breed, happy to see this one still up and maintained.
