Highly Recommend!! Great service and the food is exactly what you would expect from a small family owned business. The alfredo sauce loaded fries are delicious and the Philly cheese steak was amazingly seasoned. ????
I haven’t had any type of soul food since 2017 due to my parents passing away and going down south with my brother. BUT, Chef Vaughns Kitchen changed that. I just got off of work and I was hungry. I remembered my co-worker mentioning this restaurant saying they were ????, and he wasn’t wrong. This place is legit and the food is fye, meaning too damn good to even say the word good. I got their Soul Food platter with Fried Fish, Collard Greens, Candy Yams, Baked Macaroni & Cheese, and I got an order of Peach Cobbler & Banana Pudding. THIS is the place to be for some real and authentic food. Made me reminisce on my mother’s cooking, and it low key brought tears to my eyes. HIGHLY recommended AND I will be going back.
Absolute best Philly Cheesesteak! Nothing like it anywhere else around here. Buffalo chicken fires were also fantastic!! Sauced beautifully.
Chef Vaughns isn’t just a typical restaurant, it’s food for your soul. The flavors to come out of the Alfredo alone is incredible. The Philly cheesesteak is incredible “add Alfredo on that.” BBQ, Buffalo and Alfredo fries are off the chain delicious. The catfish is the best catfish I’ve ever had, season to perfection and crispy on the edges. The deserts are unbelievable as well, peach cobbler, banana pudding and cheesecake is just flat out amazing. Chef Vaughns is the go to spot always because they are consistent with their food and the staff is so friendly. 5/5 all day!
I just found the best catfish in K3 and surrounding counties. Food was fresh and HOT! The Cajun was some slap yo momma lip smackin greatness. My friend said the catfish reminded him of Memphis catfish. As always, best Alfredo! ????
The food was excellent rich and tasty, natural ingredients are key for the pasta and dessert items, fries were a bit cold but willing to give another try.
Dining room was cozy, not many condiments on tables.
Needed to ask for silverware but over all very good thruout our dinning..... will definitely have to try additional menu items!!!
Love to support small businesses especially those in the restaurant industry. This little place is super simple and hits the spot. Wish we had been around for Soul Food Saturday.
The portion sizes are generous. More than we expected for small size.
The owner is absolutely delightful and friendly.
The chicken Alfredo was top notch and impressed my husband.
My BBQ chicken loaded fries was a friend chicken breast cup up and out over fries with movie theatre nacho cheese slathered on top. Disappointing for $11.50
My biggest concern with the restaurant is cleanliness. The windows need cleaned, the trashcans need wiped down, ALL doors need scrubbed, the condiments on table need a serious wash, the bathrooms need an serious deep clean, and the mop board floor boarder needs a magic eraser. It’s obvious there isn’t a woman working here at all. Because the bathroom would never pass muster for a woman. In fact, it says employees must wash hands, but there is no soap in the dispenser, and no single use paper towels.
IF they don’t know your name they call you HEY to get your attention to pick up the order.
It’s a small business and I wish them the best.
I always recommend my friends or people to come eat here, it's by far the best food in town. Not even close.
The alfredo sauce is incredible. I'm not sure what about it is so special but the flavor and consistency is unmatched.
Alfredo fries are my favorite add some Cajun with them and you'll be hooked.
Great catfish, I mean it's actually terrific.
Alfredo pasta choices are fantastic as well.
If I had ANY knock, it's a bit pricey, but if you ask me, it's well worth it.
