Best WLM Reviews

First of all, shout out to Renee who was the best server I think I've had! She was friendly, accommodated our needs (dietary restrictions plus a kid friendly meal) and just overall great! The chef was doing some magic back in the kitchen, because EVERYTHING we ordered was worth 10 stars. It was all so delicious. The BBQ shrimp, the coco bread, the chicken wings, the Rasta pasta, the salmon and the oxtail were cooked to perfection. The rice and peas and the fried plantain were amazing too! We visited from the Toronto area in Canada and we were VERY IMPRESSED! This is a fantastic restaurant.
This was our first time at Chef Rob’s living in Sandy Springs for almost 3 years and we regret not coming sooner! The staff was beyond friendly and helped us pick an incredible selection. The other patrons were warm and the decor/vibes were fantastic. We loved the happy hour and drinks as well!
Service was good but future reference would be to allow your checks to be split or get device where you can click on individual food purchases. One person should not have to cover one large check for a large party. Other than that food was good.
We were in town for my son’s brother Army graduation. We found them on open table and made reservations because the reviews were good. They didn’t disappoint. The customer service, wait staff were nice and pleasant. The waitress was very attentive. The food was so so good. I had the jerk chicken, rice and peas, collard greens and ate some of my nieces Mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely seasoned, tender and juicy. I felt like this was the most authentic Jamaican food that I’ve had in a long time. Restaurants nowadays use that ketchup like sauce and I don’t like it. Their sauce was not ketchup. The desert, omg!!! Was so delicious ????. I had the sweet potato cream filled, caramel drip, with whipped cream, thee best I’ve ever had. I believe it was the owner who came out and even congratulated his brother and thanked him for his service, and also stated that he and someone else in the restaurant were military veterans. We really enjoyed everything. I wish Uber eats could deliver from here, to me in PA.
I’ll definitely be back.
3/7/24
Landed on this spot randomly during a mid-day break. Ordered a cucumber cocktail, Crab Claws, and Shrimp Bisque. Very good food! The bisque was thick & and creamy while the claws bathed in a Cajun broth that allowed the crab flavor to live. Only thing missing was bread to sop up the broth! I did receive an order of sticker shock as I don't typically price-shop when dining. All said the food and the courteous & attentive service was worth the experience.
Chef Rob's is a flavor-packed delight. The vibrant atmosphere sets the stage for a divine meal, and Chef Rob's expertise shines through. I recently savored the braised oxtail, Mac n cheese, beef patty, jerk pasta, and curry goat and wings – each dish was a delectable masterpiece. The service is warm and accommodating to my large group, and the experience is a must for anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Caribbean in Atlanta!
Table for 4 for Lunch
I tried to make a reservation on OpenTable ahead of time, but this is only available for parties of 6 or more.  As I approached the restaurant, I noticed the ample parking lot. The parking lot is shared with other nearby shops and restaurants. Luckily, we found a spot not too far from the restaurant. As soon as we entered, the hostess scooped up a group ahead of us, and we were standing there for a few minutes, but another staff member greeted us to let us know that someone would be with us shortly (Thumbs up for the acknowledgement).  The hostess returned, seating us at a high top table.  We all quickly reviewed the drink menu. Wifey and I went for 2 authentic Jamaican Red Stripe beers, while my daughters opted for the Jamaican fruit punch.  For the main course, Wifey chose the Jamaican lobster rolls, which were really a special appetizer, but the server advised that you get 2 rolls, and she decided to make them her entrée with a side of plantains. My oldest turned an appetizer of 2 crab cakes into an entrée by adding rice and peas and sweet plantains. The youngest ordered the Blackened Mango Chicken with sweet potato fries and an extra side of plantains.   As for me, I went for the Curry Chicken meal, which came with 2 sides—Rice and Peas and Mac and Cheese. I also added a warm coco bread. Wifey's lobster roll arrived first, and there was a delay for the rest of the food. Our server apologized, explaining a mix-up where all the food was entered as an appetizer. Nevertheless, when the food arrived, it looked and tasted incredible.  Everything, and I mean everything, was delicious and well seasoned.  Although we considered dessert, everyone was just too stuffed, so we opted to pass. We requested three boxes for our leftovers and the check. The bill brought a little sticker shock as I learned that an 18% gratuity was already included. Despite the unexpected high cost, it didn't overshadow the visit. The food and hospitality/service were outstanding. For the record, our reheated leftovers tasted just as good a day or two later. 4.5 rating
