We decided to give Cheeks a try finally. We lived Cactus Jack's and hadn't been back to the area since it closed. Cheeks has done a great job renovating the place. And the food is AMAZING. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp Salad and my husband had the Grouper Sandwich. The shrimp was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it. My husband said the grouper was just as good. The spices they use are the perfect blend. And the drink I got was sooooo good. It is a RIP Turtle Punch 32oz drink and trust me you only need 1. We will be back for sure. I can't wait to try the wings.
The service , although friendly was not extremely attentive. I had to go up to the bar to get one drink and flag down another server for another. I ordered a French dip. Tasty but half my meal was bread. They had a happy hour sign out front but when I went to order at 1pm, happy hour did not start until 3
What a fun place! They have food, booze and live music on the water! The tuna nachos were delicious! The bartenders were knowledgeable and cool! Check it out!
Water views from the tiki hut outside are nice. Service was pretty good on a Friday night when the place was packed. Food was great.
Ate here tonight for Taco Tuesday and it did not disappoint!! Our first time here and the spicy shrimp were great and the $3 tacos were perfect! There was also some great live music! Service was excellent - we were checked on several times by so many people and always had drinks and water! Great addition to marinatown! We will definitely be back!
We had dinner last night at Cheeks and it was fantastic! The food was delicious. We had fried shrimp, chicken ceasar wrap and steak tacos. They were so yummy! The highlight of our trip was our waitress and new friend Amanda who taught us how to properly do a tequila shot! Thanks Amanda! We will see you tomorrow night. Get the cinnamon and orange slices ready.
We LOVE Cheeks!!! I brought my friends from Maryland to enjoy the music and food. Everyone thought it was amazing. Drinks were unique and had plenty of liquor in them. The owner made us special gluten free poke bowls that were to die for. Music was great. We can’t stop talking about how much fun we had.
