I was a little hesitant based on the bad reviews but decided to chance it. Very little crowd for after work. My sides initially came out a bit cool, but they quickly replaced them. Waitress was attentive. I left full and satisfied.
My little brother ordered the Herb Roasted Chicken and got some super dry, non seasoned, overcooked chicken. He couldn’t even eat it. We tore apart the other pieces trying to find a decent bite before I thought to take a picture of his chicken. My brother said something to the waiter but he thought my brother was joking and just brought him a Togo container.
The cornmeal white fish had no flavor. I ordered the monster cookie for dessert not a monster cookie any more. The first cookie was terribly burnt so it was remade. The second cookie didn't look burnt but when i got home with it I saw it was not fully cooked. I give kudos to our server she was very understanding and attempted to correct all issues. I won't be ordering the cookie anymore.
I highly, highly recommend this place. If you don’t know what to get, get the ribs and grilled Cajun shrimp. Best ribs and shrimp around. My wife got the chicken tenders and they were fabulous as well. Cheddar’s is definitely a go to place if you can’t decide where to go.
The food was not cooked to order. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, it was almost blue rare and had a lot of sinew in it. The broccoli casserole obviously had been in a warmer for quite a while because it was mushy. The baked potato was a little dry. I put extra butter on it to combat that. The other meal was cheeseburger and fries. The burger was good but the fries were either cooked to the point of being hollow or barely cooked. Overall a very mediocre dinner. The service was fair. I asked for a glass of water, it never came. This was after having to ask more than once for a couple other things. I gave up on the water. The waiter was nice enough and his comprehension was there, he fell flat on follow though. It was not overly busy when we were there. I just think he might have been somewhat new, maybe? The atmosphere was pretty noisy. Screaming children kind of made it hard to talk with my companion. The restaurant can't control that of course. Parents need to have better control of their children's behavior or remove them from the situation. Cheddars used to be better all the way around. It seems like they are falling away in service and quality like most other restaurants in town.
This Cheddars is consistently bad for service. Nearly 10 minutes seated and a nearly empty restaurant and still waiting for someone just to get my drink order. It’s better I leave because undoubtedly I’d be the bad guy for staying and leaving a bad tip. The last time I visited it was the same. Cheddars has always been my favorite place to eat. I’ve never seen a Cheddars with a 4.1 rating. That shows a systematic problem in management and supervision. Do better, in the middle of the day in a work week people can’t be kept waiting. Within 3-5 minutes someone should be at the table for my drink order. But at 10 minutes without a server I’d never be able to eat and get back to work on time. Now I have to eat fast food just to get lunch. Thanks!
The employees did a great job taking care of 20+ of us. The food did take some time to come out but everything was great. I think everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. It was kind of a short heads up to the restaurant for such a large group but the employees were very accommodating.
Food tasted ok. The rolls was a little overcooked but still edible . Service could use some more work on it . Waitress was very polite and friendly . Messed up a drank no biggie she fixed it . Forgot half the food we ordered got it a piece at a time after having to ask for it . Had to flag down a different server because ours disappeared waited for 10 minutes for her to show up and nobody else but 1 other couple was in there and they was with a different server. Our server forgotten some food after being told earlier about it so ask the other server for it and it came out from someone totally different and wasn't even right . Not sure if I will go back to be honest . Recommended below only what I could recommend as some the items on that list was not cooked right or served right .
