Was going to use these guys but lady told me she. Has here regularl clients. Guess there aren't looking for any new ones was go use them M-F 7am 1 way say tha can't wow nobody won't to work anymore
I called ahead and scheduled a ride with Deb. She picked me up at the Lubbock airport and took me to Ransom Canyon.
She drove a clean, spacious SUV and I will not hesitate to call checker cab anytime I am in Lubbock. Thanks friend!!
Horrible service. I called Checker to pick me up at airport. They told me they will arrive at airport around 15 minutes but I have waited for over an hour at the airport. In addition, the driver did not tell me that she couldn't take the credit card until I was already inside of her car. I told her that I didn't have a lot of cashes with me and she said she can drive me to ATM to get cashes. This was my first time to hear about that a taxi driver only accept cash and checker didn't inform me on the phone. In fact, the driver drove her own car (with someone else in the car) instead of a Checker car to pick me up. She was not a safe driver since she was running red lights. I was thankful I arrived safely but unbelievable she charged me $50 for a 15 minutes trip. I used to call Checker if I need a ride but this lady disappointed me a lot and I will not use their service again!
hope she wasn't upset I did not tip her on the $35 dollar fair considering I took the same ride with another company that morning at $14.5 mile trip. Bidenomics I guess
We started doing business with them about 2 years ago in an effort to get people home safely from Chances R, now they've decided no more charge slips. We've paid our bill always but I guess they forgot where they stated from! They started out strong, on time and friendly, now they take over an hour to get here more times than not. Yellow Cab has already agreed to help us in our goal to get our customers home safely. Too bad people forget what made them successful like personal service!
I have used this service numerous times and will continue to use them in the future. Drivers are always friendly and presentable. I have always been picked up within a reasonable time frame and I am always notified when call volume is high. I would definitely recommend this service to anybody in need of a safe ride.
When i called in advance i asked if i could use my credit card they said yes, so I did not bring cash. The driver showed up and asked me how to get to where we were going. Thankfully i noticed a small little sign that read "please no cards." turns out that his credit card machine did not work and if i had not asked about it he would not have said anything till we got there. because we had to find an ATM the ride cost twice as much as it was estimated. In the end he did not even drop me off at the location i needed and i had to walk a mile or two to a bus stop.
The cab itself had a bunch of cracks in the windshield and felt like it was going to fall apart whenever we went around a corner
All in all, get a yellow cab or an Uber, I personally will never use this service ever again
I called a cab in advance and a few minutes past my pick up time the cab still wasn't there. I called the company and the lady told me they were running behind and would be there essentially 20 minutes later then I requested. It left me with a short time frame to find a way to get to work and made me late as well. If you want punctual grab an Uber.
