Stopped by on our way through today and everything was amazing and everyone was super friendly. We got the brisket burger and roast beef stacker combo with German chocolate and sour cream pumpkin pie.
Will definitely stop by next time!
Update: 10/23....had a pick up order of chicken tenders and onion straws...but was do disappointed in the portions of claiming chicken tenders when the pieces were not bigger than a nugget and chicken put up a fight trying to eat it.. Then the price 33.00 for (2) 4 piece chicken and (2) orders of onion straws.......the restaurant did refund part of my money on the overcharge......... I had the Reuben on rye and my husband had the meatloaf. The food is always wonderful! Service is great! Prices very reasonable for all the food you get. Restaurant clean. We eat here often. The German chocolate pie with ice cream is awesome!!! ❤️ Update: just ate here again today....Sara Sue was our waitress and she was just the nicest and great at her job! Thank you Sara sue!.....all I can say this place never disappoints me. The chicken tenders are just that ..TENDER WHITE MEAT...large portions of food.
Had lunch at the family restaurant, the wait staff was fantastic, very helpful and fast. The food was a tad hit or miss, but I blame my own tastes, the roast beef was DELICIOUS and the noodles were tasty, the corn pudding left a bit to be desired, I've not seen corn pudding as... "wet" as this. Maybe this is just a style of corn pudding I'm not used to, but I ended up leaving most of it on the plate.
I got a glance at some other diner's plates of sides and the fries looked great, the burgers looked well put together as well.
I would absolutely eat here again if given the chance, but I'd go for mashed potatoes or fries instead of the corn pudding next time.
Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Food was heavenly and plenty of it. Carry out pecan & cherry pie was melt in your mouth ????! (After 2 hour ride home, only wish I had bought whole pies!! ????
Shopped at Kiem Lumber, and happy we crossed the street to eat. ????
Decided on a whim to try this restaurant for lunch today and found it quite "charming". The service was fast, friendly, and courteous. We tried a burger, chicken noodle spup, taco salad, and peanut butter cream pie - all was absolutely delicious and you can tell it was home made. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area
Great place for super food, and service. Always enjoy stopping in, even if only for a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup!
Great place to eat with very friendly staff. I live 2 miles from here. Like other places they are short staffed and their hours are limited. Best to call for their hours before visiting the area. There are Amish cooks and waitresses. But some are not dressed Amish though.
This was a GREAT place to eat, but their last day open was Saturday 10/29/2022 and they are close permanently.
The place is up for auction November 22nd, and hopefully someone else can buy the place :-(
