Rented a Penske truck for 1 day to move items 2.2 miles down the road in which there was no gas station between. Multiple trips were made, and total mileage was about 17 miles. I signed a contract reading "customers who return vehicles with less fuel than when rented will be charged to refuel vehicle to the level when it was first rented." I told the woman, honestly, at the desk I did not top it off because I did not pass a gas station and did not want to increase my milage and go out of the way to find one as I was paying per mile on the rental itself. I acknowledged that I would be responsible for the cost of topping off the tank.
I was charged $40 AFTER I left the facility. The tank was still near full! I took pics when I dropped it off!!!
Not to mention my vehicle inspection report was given to me in a foreign language and when I got into the truck the display immediately informed me the truck needed an oil change!
Just tried to call the number provided as I used the website to rent the vehicle and the phone number just lead me to a reservation line. I'm furious!!!
A really bad experience. Went back-and-forth multiple times to get my bumper fixed. At the end of the day the pump is still isn’t attached to the car properly and my camera doesn’t work. their responses Is it’s the best they can do. Their best is not good enough. Extremely disappointed .I have to bring my car to another body shop now. save yourself time and aggravation and go somewhere else. Also they are short staffed and looking for body mechanics. Just a heads up
I rented a car from Charlie’s. Easy to get to and the people working there were very nice.
I bought a car with horrific stone chip damage on the front bumper and hood. The dealer I bought it from wanted to charge me to fix it, so I took it to Charlie's instead to get refinished and painted. These people are artists. After they were done, it looked better than factory. I will go to them for all of my repair and autobody needs from now on.
Kris will take great care of you; super nice, knowledgeable and very friendly - great customer service - she took all the stress away when renting a vehicle and was super helpful to ensure a smooth transaction & adventure. Vehicle clean, great looking - happy with rental.
These people will rip you off. Take your business elsewhere.
They provided clear instructions and procedures. When we changed our mind about needing a rental they had it ready the next day. I barely had to deal with the insurance company at all, always a plus!

My 2016 Mercedes was brought in for repairs on January 13, 2021 after being involved in an accident. After having my car for nearly 10 weeks, it was returned to me. The front fender and bumper were completely out of alignment and showing a large unacceptable gap. They did not use Mercedes parts for the repair thus resulting in the poor result. When it was brought to their attention the repair was not done correctly, the technician suggested that he could "glue" the bumper and fender together to correct the problem. I explained that this was unacceptable and they I would be contacting my insurance company to see that the repair was done correctly. Charlie's Carstar was paid over $10,000.00 for this repair and the idea of glueing my car back together was ridiculous. I returned the vehicle and after an additional two weeks my car was finally repaired.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. 12 weeks to do a repair that should have taken no more than 3 is a joke.
