Had a wonderful experience at Charlie's. The wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon with the intention of having tenderloins. Upon arriving found they were having some fish specials, one of which being blue gill. Sorry tenderloin, not today. I got the blue gill, the wife however did get the tenderloin.
My blue gill was wonderful, served w/baked potato and coleslaw. Potato was slightly under done, but nothing a little extra butter couldn't fix. And the coleslaw was really good.
The wifes tenderloin (which she shared) was really good, nice thickness, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The bun lacked a little, but wasn't terrible. The tenderloin is served with your choice of fries, regular, curly, waffle or tater tots. She went with curly, and they were plentiful, hot and tasty.
The service was excellent, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was casual and fun to be there.

First-time here. Great selections of beers and drinks. Started with the Gouda bites. Hot, crispy and creamy inside. We both had the tenderloin with fries for husband and tots for me. Nice crispy crust on the tenderloin . Not too thick but not thin either! Fries and tots were crisp and hot. Good meal, service and atmosphere. Well worth the trip.
I went here for the 1st time on Mother's Day with a small group of people. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I ordered my food the same time the rest of the group I was with did. I finally got my food after the group I was with had already done ate and another 30 mins later. Also 1 of the cooks there needs to pull there pants up and he kept stopping to kiss his Girlfriend that kept coming inside, and apparently every condiment I asked for they were out of. Definitely the worst place I have ever ate at!!!!!!!
Arrived at 4:45 on Sunday.
Party heading out the door as we arrived wishing us better luck because they never got their food.
Was given menus and told to come back to the counter to order and our food would be delivered to our table.
A bartender, one wait staff, and one cook.
2 other parties left while we were waiting for our order of two burgers and fries.
5:45, we also left without getting our food.
Can't understand why more wait staff or owner/managers were not there to help.
We have always enjoyed this place for their food and atmosphere but will probably never go back after this experience.
We went down the road to another location and were promptly waited on and served.
Awful service, almost no service. Serve yourself set up, and was terrible. Pork tenderloin came with no toppings just a bun nothing else, no lettuce tomato and was so salty I couldn't eat it. My wife's burger was ok. Fries were cold and limp. Paid $9.00 for 8 small cheese balls. If they offered me a free meal I still would never eat there again. Don't waste your time and money. Place is dirty too.
First time there Mother's Day, the place is really nice on the inside with a nice patio on the lake ... quite the spot! the food was good and came out quick, the service was great. Bryce was our server and he went above and beyond, truly a great employee!
You are there for the view! Food was decent. Waited 40’ for our order to come out.
Waited over 20 min before a sever even come to our table! And barely seen her the whole time we was there! The food tasted great! For the food we did get! Got the ribeye special and the steak was cooked to perfection! But was supposed to come with mashed and a side but only got the mashed! The pizza was amazing! The pontoon burger was just ok! The chicken strips were just ok also! Fries and waffle fries (that we had to wait till we was done eating… and was told would be taken off our bill and was not) but they was good! Lemonade shake ups were good! And got meatzza rolls were delicious but only came with 2 feel could be more for the money! If it wasn’t for the food being so good I would say we would never return! But since the food was delicious will possibly try again see if maybe the service was just an off day!
