If you're talking atmosphere this place is a 10... but I'm judging this on food also! I got the tenderloin. It's 100% pre-frozen & the sweet potato fries were undercooked. I was hungry... but the only thing satisfying was seeing the memorabilia! Our waitress wasn't that great either! Overall, I'll return to just look around.. but not to eat here again!
Service was top notch. We asked about the happy hour apps a few minutes before 3 and were able to get the potato skins. They were very good more like a twice baked potato than the traditional potato skins. My husband had the burger that’s topped with the sloppy Joe. He said it was really good. I had the club sandwich. Again very good. The kids pizza was good sized. Clean restrooms. On street parking.Tons of sports memorabilia.
Amazing Reuben sandwich! The corned beef was fantastic and very tasty and fries were good. Great sports bar atmosphere with tons of sports memorabilia!
We were recently at Chappell’s for lunch and I must say, the service provided by our server Carrie was outstanding! She was attentive, knowledgeable, and took great care of us. It’s always a pleasure to encounter someone who is so passionate about providing great service.
However, I find it necessary to mention that our experience was not 100%. A lady who I later found out was the manager, her appearance was a bit off putting. She was dressed very inappropriately for the setting. She was dressed in very short shorts which were a bit too revealing which detracted from the overall ambiance of the establishment. It’s unfortunate because every other aspect of our visit was otherwise delightful.
Overall, while Carrie made our visit memorable for all the right reasons, the management could perhaps reconsider the dress code to maintain the high standards that one would expect in such a lovely restaurant.
The decor makes the place fun to visit. It keeps you busy while you wait for the food to arrive. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. My fries came out cold but the waitress immediately apologized and brought fresh ones. The reason for the lack of stars is because the food is just ok. If you like typical bar and grills with burgers and sandwiches then this place is probably for you. I just found the food to be nothing amazing or special. My Reuben could have used more sauerkraut and sauce. Unfortunately I left feeling underwhelmed.
Such a great place with a lot of history! Great beer selection and my Bloody Mary was fantastic. I usually get the Super BLT with curly fries but there are so many other good food options. Faith was very friendly and helpful!
Excellent food! I had the North Town Burger with cheddar, cooked medium.
Best burger I've had in years. Curly fries cooked to perfection. Wife had Santa Fe Chicken Wrap, and was very impressed.
Will definitely return. Oh, and the amount of sports memorabilia is truly off the wall and insane.
Chappell's is a sports fan's dream! So much memorabilia and memories here! Cold beer and the food was really good. We each got a 1/2lb burger and it was delicious! Highly recommend the mushrooms for an appetizer!! They were amazing! I met Jim 10 years ago just passing through town and he was so kind and generous. A great man! Keep up the great work and Go Hawks!
