had lunch here today April 16, 2024. very nice place: there are tables for lunch inside. the staff is very welcoming and friendly! the food is delicious and inexpensive! I will definitely come here again! Well, I recommend everyone to have breakfast or lunch here! you will be satisfied!
I really don't like to complain. 9:10 I only leave positive reviews. This place has not been able to get my sandwich correct once since I started ordering from them (about a year and a half). Today I've had enough. My boss goes there for our breakfasts once or twice a week, and he is not always happy either. Egg sandwiches and cream cheese or buttered bagels are pretty simple, but somehow they always prepare my order wrong. Not sure what the reason could be but this will be for sure the last time I take my boss up on his offer. Place was great once upon a time but those days have come and gone.
Food is good but the pricing is very confusing. I ordered a sandwich that is advertised as costing $9.75. Received my sandwich and went to the register. Man at register rings up $10.40 and the total ends up being $11.30. Mind you, I paid with cash. No clue how a sandwich advertised at $9.75 ends up costing $11.30. My fault for not questioning but I was in a rush.

High-quality ingredients and interesting combinations make up great subs and burgers. Fresh lettuce, veggies, cheese, and meats are used for their generous salads, and being a gardener, I am picky enough to spot old ingredients- that doesn't happen at Central Ave. In true deli style, you can customize your own sandwiches, and the staff will make em as you wish. A good quick stop also, if you're looking for bagged snacks or drinks. VERY accommodating and friendly staff!
This place has gone way down hill since a few years ago before it changed ownership. The staff attitude is very poor now and they don’t seem to care about your orders. $8 for a bagel and they aren’t even able to take the order correctly. Only had 3 things. Cream cheese bacon and the bagel. It’s like the guy didn’t even hear me say don’t chop up the bacon. I hate to have to do this but I will no longer be going to this bagel and deli anymore. Sad that all places in Bethpage stink now. This is my personal experience.
Got a turkey and cheese lettuce tomato mustard on a roll sandwich was not great got an iced tea that tasted weird. Over 15 dollars will probably not be back as I work in the area and there are better lunc options. Bagels did look good.
First off, amazing bagels. Yes, the layout is not great, but it's a small place, I get it. So if lines form, it's a little crazy.
This is not my go-to place for lunch.
I ordered a turkey / American cheese hero with lettuce tomato and mayo. Well, get ready to pay extra! So I paid for turkey, a roll, lettuce, and tomato all separate? $11.75 for an OK sandwich. *and they forgot to charge me for the MAYO!
When people order, you should let them know. I wish I knew. If i did, i would have ordered a weird sandwich on the board with a cool name.
Too many places to eat around here. They have better prices and a better sandwich with no "hidden costs." Central ave deli, you did me dirty! That's just shady charging.
I still love your bagels, but you lost me a lunch customer,
Just stopped in with my mom and the bagels and food were delicious. Great spot. Really nice staff.
