Great service
Driving thru Las Vegas while traveling and needed an oil change. He got us in and out. Was very nice young man.
Was the first dealership I called to see if they could get us in and he said yes and did exactly that.
Upsate: adding one star. I was very pleased with my service today. My service manager Alex Rameriz, really made the difference for me. All the employees at Centennial are working like crazy! They have so many vehicles to deal with! And non-Toyota people bring their vehicles here! It was amazing to watch everyone so intensely at work. It was like music! Though the waiting room is no fun...I'll chose and recommend Centennial over Findlay. I inspected my vehicle after another reviewer said I should and I was satisfied with the workmanship.
I do recommend this dealers service center and in 50k miles, this dealer will be my first stop to buy my next joy toy.
Old review:
I've taken my truck into Centennial twice now, and I've been happier with the service quality than at Findlay, albeit very concerned by the high 1* reviews. I find the service decent but dislike texting with my service center. I do feel like service prices are high. (Even with extended warranty and service package). My next oil change service requires new brake pads, and I'm feeling nervous because I checked out the reviews...I'll be taking more caution to inspect my vehicle upon return from service.
Should my experience change at Centennial Toyota Service Department, I will update my review.
If you want to save yourself days of frustration, you may want to avoid this service department. I have tried for 3 days to get someone knowledgeable to help me get a windshield replacement. The service department advisors and management are either clueless or just don’t care. I have called there on my own multiple times and on a 3 way calling with the insurance company twice and went from advisor to advisor, getting sent to voicemails, voice recordings, rude “advisors”, all the way to the manager, who literally told me there was nothing she could do! Then get sent to the service director. Takes all my info, as every other single person has done, then tells me he will take care of this, will call my insurance company and get it all straightened out. Never called back lol!. I’ve been in sales before and if I had a customer that needed help and I couldn’t do it that day, knowing they are sitting by the phone waiting for my reply, I would call them and say, “hey, still working on it, just to let you know, just need more time”. Nothing. That’s what I got from him. Plus I looked up the service director on the site and his name does not match the email he gave the rep from Progressive, so who knows if that was even really the director. Also, I was sent multiple times to a service advisor, only to go through the whole spiel of what I needed, and then the person would literally say, “ok, I’ll get you to a service advisor” lol. One “advisor” said she would check with parts to see if they had a windshield in stock, and then next thing I know, parts answers and I have to go through the whole thing again with them, because she never spoke to him. Just transferred me. I have gone to Toyota for the life of my car for all maintenance. I am nearing 50k miles so thats 9 visits and this is the first time I am looking elsewhere.
Oh yeah and the last time I was here, the service rep Daniel quoted me different prices and then when I got there to pay is much more than the quote and had overcharged me. The other rep in the office said he could not help me, because “that was not his deal”. So I guess they charge whatever they want per service advisor or either he just didn’t care. I had to wait for the other guy to get back from lunch after my ride had already dropped me off to get the car! Like half hour! Way to be awesome Centennial!
Update: the actual service director called me since I reported them to corporate Toyota. He said he never spoke to me. So that means the previous “service director” was an imposter that the supposed manager transferred me to. He also informed me that their service department doesn’t even do windshield replacement. They have a third party come in and do it. So all those “service advisors” I spoke to that gave me estimates on labor costs all lied. They don’t even know what work they do there. I highly recommend you avoid this service department! Incompetence at every turn.
I own a 2011 Scion tC and I have been going here to get my car serviced every 10k miles. I got the car brand new back in 2011, and now I am up to 150k miles. I have never had any performance issues with the car since I bought it and have it serviced here. Jason Kopecky is my service advisor. He is da man. Jason is very friendly, easy to talk to, and doesn't pressure you. I have been going here for the past 12 years and plan on going back for the next 20.
Booked and went in for a complimentary service on a Saturday morning at Centennial Toyota, was helped by Ivy Martin. I was unaware of additional services that I did not want outside of the complementary. Signed a contract with no $ or .00 , just a number of 310 . I clearly acknowledge where I signed but in the process before signing was not told a break down cost of the services added and how much the total amount was .Additionally, I was not told that my total was going to be $310 for a brake fluid change and four wheel alignment . How does a customer know what they’re paying for with no dollar amount in front or a .00 at the end. As well as , not even being asked if I wanted those out of pocket services in the first place . How was I to know if the “310” was a employee number or work code ? As I was rang up at the register , I paid for the amount that day as I clearly signed a non-dollar amount contract and the services were already done to my car . I contacted the manager on Monday and sat down with service manager James H. also known as “Jim” on Wednesday . We came to an agreement of getting a split amount of refund as they did use parts/labor to my car. At the end, was told that he knows I won’t be coming back there for services and wishes he didn’t already give me his word about getting some money back . He also wished me a worse service at the next Toyota dealership .
I was quartered 185.00 an hour but was charged over 200.00 dollars because they said I authorized the job max change without more authorization. So although the cost was lower they will charge the maximum...And love military so they give 10 percent off the bill...what they don't say ther is a maximum and it basically what they say. The service manager at Centennial Toyota north LasVegas Nevada is not your friend. And I am and try to be positive. This is a shady operation at best. I have bought cars here and must say service has gone south. Good luck but be aware.
Beware of service I recently took my car in for a 40k service, and initially it was a decent experience, as far as dealerships go, but that decent experience dwindled quickly. When I made my first stop, I noticed a door ding, with a smudge of paint left that resembled the equipment in their service bay. I called and let the dealer know. Not looking for any sort of compensation, I just wanted them to know what their “technician” had done. The second incident is a doozie, and potentially very dangerous incident. As I pulled into a parking spot at work, the car completely shut down as I put it in park. All power was gone. Luckily I know cars and am mechanically inclined…and had a 10mm wrench. The positive battery cable had come loose from the post. Pretty surprising, really. I fixed it easily enough, but had this been a the vehicle of a less mechanically inclined individual, things could’ve been much worse. Anyway, maybe request another technician check the other technician’s work before driving away from the lot.
I arrived on time for my scheduled 10AM “waiter” appointment and was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait before they even got started on my service. Tom told me I should have come at 7AM if I expected to be seen quickly, and they were understaffed. I understand being understaffed, as I am a nurse who wasted an hour driving on the only weekday I had off the entire month for an appointment that truly wasn’t an appointment at all. I hope Centennial Toyota can be more respectful of their customer’s time and update their online appointment scheduling system to reflect their abilities to provide service. I’ll be trying Findlay in the meantime.
