Found this spot randomly when I was driving downtown. $3 tequila shots brought me in.
Had an amazing burrito, made super quick right in front of me at the bar.
Definitely coming back and bringing some friends next time to this hidden gem ????

This place is amazing! I completely recommend this place.The food was great. Also,they cook in an open kitchen,so you can watch them prepare the food.A nice place to go for all ages.
Visited for taco Tuesday. Small place. Was surprised when I walked in. Great customer service. Fries, margarita and fish taco was amazing. Shrimp taco didn’t have much flavor. Sauces taste great.
After eating at a couple of subpar restaurants in the area, I went to Catrinas. It’s semi small place, but super cute & fun
& I must say it was the BEST food I had in days! Everything in the restaurant is homemade, including their own hot sauce, it was tasty but too hot for my palate.
I got elote (mex st corn), ordered 1 & devoured it so had to get another! Chips & guac were fantastic
Also got chicken tamales w/side of rice & beans & 2 house made margaritas. Delicious!
Since the food was such great quality and so good, I ordered a steak quesadilla & flan to go!
I was so impressed with everything I’ll be making my way back soon!
The service was AMAZING & made me feel comfortable & like family! I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone. Children as well. Nice menu selection for the kiddos

We had never been in before, walked in sat down. Waited 5 minutes & a lady handed us menus. Figured out what we wanted, continued to sit there another 10 min. Then, we realized we needed to order at the counter. (Kind of annoying, but it's not a deal breaker)
Restaurant clean, prices average. No refillable drink options. (Asked for ice water and lemon, was given a Walmart bottle of water for $2) I asked for the water after I enquired about the mwntioned margs. I was told some strange off brand of tequila that was premixed for a watermelon margarita. Hard pass...premix at a place that calls it self a tequila bar?
Chips and salsa were a letdown, chips partly stale, and salsa needed to be thrown out. It was "fizzy" and fermenting. (Gross!)
Our burritos were good, no complaints. Beans & rice good too.
One lady working everything, no help. I can see why you ordered at the counter. No biggie. Not a deal breaker.
Would I go back? Yes, maybe.
Would I recommend it? Probably not. It's good, but not recommend worthy.
Was looking for Mexican taco places in Tampa. I live in Chicago where there are many Mexican restaurants at every corner so I know a good taco joint when I see one.
The decor here is awesome I must say. I am however disappointed with the tacos. I usually receive double corn tortillas and these seem to taste like flour tortillas. I asked for lettuce, tomato, and cheese added to my steak tacos and only received them with only onions and cilantro with a side of sour cream which I requested. The fish tacos can do better, they are beer-battered, but the condiments on top weren't appealing. I would've preferred a beer-battered taco with a marinated cilantro mayo Cole slaw and a Chipotle mayo on top instead. ????
I also wasn't offered a drink menu, I'm sure they sold margaritas here. I didn't want to ask either, it should be given with the food menu if anything.
I won't be back here again. ????
