I have curly curly hair and was looking for a place that would know how to deal with my type of hair. For years, I had been going to places that would cut my hair as if it were straight, and I would end up with wonky looking hair. I found Catalina's, and after seeing the reviews, I made an appointment immediately. Well, after the appt, my curls have never looked better. I had to sacrifice a bit of length, but my curls look rejuvenated and voluminous. She definitely worked her magic and gave me tips and recommendations to upkeep my curls. I will definitely be coming back here for my next trim! I also posted pictures to show my curl type and how defined they looked after my appt.
Catalina's Dominican Beauty Salon is the best in LA! I have been coming to her for over 2 years. She takes care of your hair as if it were her own. Does wonderful work! I have recommended many of my coworkers here and they love coming to her as well. I have flown in LAX just to come do my hair with her when I am away on my travels. She treats you like family when you come in. Would recommend for any hair type, especially afro carribean hair. ???????? The ladies at the salon are all wonderful! Highly recommended!
Catalina is the best Dominican hair stylist! I have been coming to her with my mom for 30+ years! She does the best blow out!!
Catalina caters to women, and I love it! My hair looks fantastic after every blowout, and the service is consistently exceptional. I highly recommend this salon for all hair types, they never fail to impress. ❤️???? 10/10 highly recommend for all hair types. ????????
DO NOT come here if you have a type 4 hair!! I came in on Sunday for a wash and trim but left with uneven haircut and headache. They do not know how to care or be gentle even with me telling her to go easy on me. Catalina was very heavy handed, took out so much of my hair and I’ve been dealing with a bad headache for the past 2 days! I won’t be back here 1/10 experience.
My homegirl put me on to this wonderful place and I’m so happy!! I’m from the east coast and have been looking for an authentic Dominican spot that I could trust for years. Finally found it! The women who work here are amazing and very talented! I love my experience everytime!
It's my first time here and Lenny deoni and julissa we're so gentle with my hair ????I have to say I am really impressed ❤️ they work so well together as a team and the experience was definitely worth it!!

My mom and I came here yesterday as its been close to 4 years since we've gotten a proper haircut. Catalina and Julissa did an incredible job. My mom's hair now has volume and mine has its shine back. I received so many compliments at work today and already recommended a fellow curly haired coworker to come here next time she's ready for a cut and style. I'm so glad to have found this place and looking forward to coming back. Many thanks to the wonderful ladies here!
