Best WLM Reviews
Delicious food, with a somewhat rustic feeling inside. The restaurant was bustling, and even with only two servers, it was kept up well, and all the staff were friendly and polite. The bruschetta tasted fresh and tangy, and the meat sauce spaghetti had delicious notes of red wine in the sauce. Highly recommend it!
Lots of pizzas options in town, this is a good one. Big selection to choose from, if I’d been hungrier I would’ve tried one of the calzones, they look great. Never thought I’d like fig jam on a pizza, but ours was fantastic.
Great rooftop bar! Very friendly staff. An enjoyable atmosphere for almost everyone - however, the down side was there's no elevator for physically challenged people, the rooftop bar's entrance was somewhat hidden towards the back of the building from the street entrance, and to get there, you have to go up 3 flights of stairs that made you feel like you were sorta on an obstacle course!
Yet, once you got your explorer's achievement button for climbing the stairs ???????? and a spot at the bar, you definitely could decompress and enjoy the ppl, drinks, food, and even music of this place. With a little adventure in your pocket, you CAN have a good time here!
Side note: my sausage and pepperoni pizza ???? was tasty, but they forgot to add the mushrooms. Sorry, not sorry -1 ⭐ guys. You did it to yourself.
I would only recommend this place for appetizers and drinks. I took the family for dinner on a Wednesday night. They were able to get us right in. The drinks and appetizers were great. We had shrimp tacos, mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp, and aracini. During happy hour which ends at 7pm , they are discounted. On person ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza that came out soggy with oils running off it. Another person ordered frutti de mare spaghetti (seafood) . It came out with the shrimp and calamari overcooked, and the clams and mussels were gritty. The waiter was kind enough to discount the bill $6 but for a $24 plate that wasn't going to be eaten and would not be taken home, that was disappointing.
I had the lasagna. It was probably the worst lasagna I have ever had. It just lacked flavor and was generally disappointing. I will definitely avoid ordering the main dishes if I ever go back here. I do recommend stopping in for drinks and shrimp tacos.
I went to Castiglia’s for a Friday evening dinner with my friends and we had a great time. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg and has a cozy and lively atmosphere. They had live music playing, which added to the ambiance. We were seated quickly and the service was friendly and attentive.
We started with their cheese sauce and breadsticks, which were amazing. The cheese sauce was creamy and flavorful and the breadsticks were warm and soft. For our main course, we ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, but it didn’t come out with chicken. I’m pretty sure it was a buffalo chicken pizza. We were a bit disappointed, but the pizza still tasted good. The crust was thin and crispy and the sauce was spicy and tangy.
The beers were great too, cold and refreshing. The only downside was that they had too many menus. The table was littered with menus.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Castiglia’s and would recommend it to anyone looking for a casual and fun Italian dining experience.
"Wood-fired" pizza definitely wasn't wood fired. Doughy, flavorless crust that was probably just cooked in a regular oven. Gas station quality pizza. No paper plates for togo orders so if you want to eat at somewhere without plates, good luck.
I have to give this restaurant a three star review for several reasons. First of all the pizza was mediocre at best. It was not terrible by any means, but I have had better pizza at Little Caesars or at the mall. For what I paid for the food. It just was not very good. The french fries were awesome though. Also the service. my server was very friendly however, he was also tending the bar at the same time so I had to actually get up to request my check when I was done eating and my drink cup was not kept full. The atmosphere here was amazing. It was neat eating out on the rooftop. However, the mediocre food and the poor service. I doubt I will be back. The bathroom here was very clean and the toilet was nice but other than that I don’t think I’ll come back. Also the staff did sing happy birthday to another patron which was a nice touch.
We came to try the food for a possible rehearsal dinner. We will not be having the rehearsal dinner there. It was very loud! Our entree's did not come out together. The artichoke dip appetizer was delicious, however, a small amount of chips were given for the good amount of dip; so we need more chips and we're charged an additional $2 for a handful of chips. It was $16 for a square of lasagna with no bread. The calzone was huge. The surf and turf had a little left to be desired and yes the salad was fresh. Meaghan, our waitress, was great!
