I like this place. Very tasty Mexican cuisine, reasonable prices (no longer the bargain it was years ago, prices have about doubled over the last 10 years), a clean facility, and the ubiquitous drive thru for those on the move. Recommended!
The food is always delicious, and the restaurant is open 24 hours. Can't really beat it except the fountain drinks are kind of pricy IMO and often taste flat or watered down. Carne asada burrito in photo.
Castanedas was great. Typical Mexican spot - menu and atmosphere. The food was awesome - massive portions and tasty. Friendly staff, fast service. Plenty of non-meat options and it's not cilantro heavy. No bathrooms, what is with that with the places around here?
Went to this place and ordered 42 dollars of food and it was the worst COLD food. I called to let them know the food wasn't so good and they just hung up on me. Didn't even offer to fix it. VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! YOU WOULD THINK IT BEING CALLED CASTANEDAS THEY WOULD KNOW HOW TO COOK MEXICAN FOOD! TERRIBLE! No stars to give!! Don't waste your money there! (Yucca Valley location)
Super friendly, fast and yummy. The staff is always incredibly curteous. I'm usually in there as a Door Dasher but when I need some food fuel to keep me going, this is where I spend my money. Great value, good food, great service.
GO TO THE ONE IN JOSHUA TREE INSTEAD.
Update: Recently freshness has improved slightly. Great food when it is fresh. Salsas are 5/5. Employees are great.

That is always HARD AND DRY and seems like it has been left out for days.

It's is by far A LOT more pricey than it used to be, but then again so is everything right? I believe the delicious food is well worth it though. Great place to go if you're in the mood for a lil Mexican cuisine.
The food doesn't even taste like Mexican food . Taquitis tase blan the wet burrito was dry and the fries were undercooked and saturated in oil . Worste place I've ever eaten bi would never recommend this restaurant
