Dear Cascade Student Transportation,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent treatment of new drivers who were promised a $2,000 sign-on bonus by your company. Cascade Student Transportation had been actively recruiting new drivers by offering this sign-on bonus, only to later rescind the offer due to the transition of your business to Durham.
As a new driver who was enticed by the sign-on bonus offer, I am extremely disappointed by this sudden change in policy. Promising a sign-on bonus is a significant incentive for individuals to join your team, and to take away this benefit after it was already advertised is both unethical and unfair.
This bait-and-switch tactic not only damages the reputation of Cascade Student Transportation but also shows a lack of integrity and respect towards potential employees. It is essential for companies to honor the commitments they make to their employees and applicants, as this reflects their credibility and reliability as an employer.
I urge Cascade Student Transportation to reconsider its decision and honor the sign-on bonus offer for all new drivers who were promised this benefit. Failing to do so would not only result in a loss of trust from current and potential employees but could also have legal implications.

This bus company has gone against district policy and refused my son a ride because the bus was full (having to split routes to other buses to cover) and didn't call another bus to pick up the left behind students. Yesterday they didn't even dispatch a bus until 40 minutes after arrival time while I was on the phone with them, leaving multiple children out in the snow and below freezing temps for over an hour. They have been nothing but negligent since the second day of school. They do not send out updates via text or through the app. My child and others at his stop have been left behind both to and from school multiple times this year with zero communication. I have tried to escalate the issue and even though the manager Rebecca can text me a link to fill out a service ticket, but she will not call me when I have asked multiple times for a phone call to address these issues.
Been 20-40 minutes late every day for the past 2 weeks! The bus application is useless and most of the time the bus does not show! Transfered me to a voice mail when asking for an operations manager. Rude dispatcher! My child has been late enough for her teachers to be concerned but nothing the school can do about it? West Ada where can we file formal complaints? Reviews clearly do nothing!
0 is much more deserving. The last few years of schooling have been a nightmare until I started driving myself to school. To add to it we tend to rely on bussing for transportation for band events. They are constantly a problem and extremely unreliable. Today we were stranded at a school and they were nothing but rude to our director and has left more than 85+ students to figure out how to get home/back to school/ or to rehearsals/work. It is extremely unfortunate how downhill this company has gone and how big their lack of care for students really is.
If I could leave a negative review I would the worst drivers. I'm on Park going by eagle high School today going to a job site and a bus is blocking the whole road for the other buses to get out of your bus drivers can't get into traffic then they don't need to be behind the wheel period!!!!!!!!. Doing both of those That is against the law 100% and it impedes the flow of traffic so two violations in less then ten minutes. It was a woman driver and had no care for anyone else besides blocking traffic to let buses out. Go retrain your driver's or hire better drivers, next time I see that I don't care I will call the Idaho State police and report your company and I'll take it to the school board too!!!!!!!!?
Terrible. If you can arrange a way for your kids to be brought to school any other way than the public bus system…do it. My boys have been hit so many times, and nothing is done about it. I’ve called and left messages, and I hear nothing back. My kids have been exposed to things on the bus that makes me sick. I finally told them they need to just stick up for themselves, and to protect each other. We live in such a beautiful community, how this is acceptable just blows my mind..
If you care about the safety of your kids….you’ll do everything you can to find alternative solutions than this bus company. They don’t care about the safety of your child, I promise you that. I’ve had countless situations with this busy company of students hitting, attacking, bullying my son. My son is quiet and introverted and won’t fight back….which normally you’d commend, but I’ve had to finally tell him to stick up for himself..such a shame at such a young age…we shouldn’t have to worry about our kids getting to and from school! It’s irritating that safety protocols are often dismissed and dangerous students with repeat offenses are still able to ride the bus.
We’ve had nothing but issues with the daughter taking the bus. On Tuesday the bus didn’t even show up. She was waiting outside for over a hour (in the winter) before they called the school to let them know. The school said they were looking into it but the bus wasn’t coming and to try and find another way to school. Today, Thursday the bus is over 45 mins late. It’s 24 degrees outside. I wish I could take my daughter to school. You guys need to get your stuff figured out. This has been going on for almost 3 years now!!
