Best WLM Reviews
The place is super cool but the service is definitely lacking, forgetful and an attitude like they'd rather be some where else.
Food wasn't impressive and pretty bland for being a Mexican restaurant. Nachos came out soggy and cold, chips were chewy.
I would suggest going somewhere else for the price and quality of the whole experience.
Casa Real Cantina & Grill is a beautifully decorated restaurant with the best servers. There were a lot of very beautiful murals around the restaurant. We were so pleased to have a spanish speaker be our server, it made ordering our food much easier. For drinks they offered Jarritos. The food was good. We had 3 tacos de asada with salsa on the side. We were glad the salsa was spicy. We also had the sweet salmon dish that came with a side of veggies and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes and the shrimp were my favorite from the dish. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Springfield!
Food was excellent for all four is who had lunch together. Outstanding service and wonderful atmosphere.
The place was really decorated fun and well. The waitress was super friendly. The bathrooms were clean although the women's room was out of soap and the paper towel dispenser clearly hadn't been working so the paper towel roll was just set on the counter.
The reason for the rating was the food. It was a little pricey but not crazy when we ordered I felt like well it is sit down. The problem started when we were served the food. The kids portion was SOOOOOO small. We ordered chicken tenders and got popcorn chicken. Fine my kiddo loves it. We got 6 pieces. My daughter doesn't eat a lot but the portion wasn't even enough for her. The steamed veggies on the side was mostly carrots and cauliflower and maybe one broccoli. Pretty sure I get bagged veggies from birdseye in the microwave section that taste better. My son said his tacos were fine but no spice. My husband called his burrito bland. My salad with grilled chicken read beautifully on the menu. When placed in front of me the presentation was nice with the sliced avocado. The small container of avocado lime dressing was disappointing due to it's size but it didn't matter because the flavor was SOOOO boring. The chicken had no spice and I don't even like spicy but this didn't even have any flavor! The salad was mostly just greens which is okay but really there were only a small handful of black beans. I think I found like 10 kernels of unflavored corn.
The food left us very disappointed. We won't return.
The staff are all very pleasant but compounding issues warranted this bad review. It took a full 30 minutes for one drink and there were at least 3-4 empty tables. This isn’t an exaggeration. The second drink was a beer and after 20 minutes I got up and ordered it myself from the bar. I got two sincere apologies and zero discounts
On to the food. This was massively disappointing even if the prices weren’t 50% higher than the local competition. Salsa was great, chorizo queso was great and it ends there. We had four dinners and combined you would need a spectrometer to detect the amount of seasoning used. It all tasted like it was boiled in water.
Again, the staff were all great, but the food and speed of service was bottom of the barrel atrocious and I hope they take this to heart as I don’t like seeing good people fail and not know why
Worst restaurant experience ever for me and my family of five. Place was not busy at all. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Waited another 15 minutes to just order our food. Our queso dip came out so cold it wasn’t even edible they had to take it back to warm it up. It took 30 more minutes for our food to come out. The food was so bad that my family of 5 each got different things and we could barely eat it. The three kids only ate the rice. I tried to talk to the owner respectfully about it and he told me I was insulting him and his food and charged me $105 or he was calling the police. Avoid this place at all cost!
Honestly extremely dope experience. We came at the beginning of the rush. Our server Cynna honestly did everything she could and it made our anniversary great. Food took forever but she brought us some of the most amazing queso ground beef stuff while we waited. We ordered the margarita flights (amazing with the red sauce stuff) and champagne margarita to drink. Really well done. Texas rolls for an app and split the taco queso Brillias. Sorry if the names are a little off but I've got pictures!
We had an excellent dinner. There was a slight wait, but we were able to wait in the bar. Staff were nice and attentive. The fajitas were delicious and the chicken burrito looked good too. Price was a bit more than I expected, but the portion size was decent and the food was good. We'll be back.
