Worst Hotel experience in our lives! Right from the start. We get there after a 6 hour drive to find they are having a convention. Not a problem except, the Valets are only parking convention people. So we drove around for 15 minutes to find a parking spot because they don't have their own parking lot. We were told by the rude lady working that night after a 10 wait for her to show up, that they share parking across the street. Then after we dragged our bags across a parking lot and across the street, we check into our room. NOTHING like the pictures! Artwork had fallen onto the floor. The desk lady, Tiffany, asked us what we wanted her to do with it. (I have a few ideas where you put it) Then, we find out the convention goers are standing RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOWS! With the band playing against our wall! We found trash from previous stayers inside the room, along with another key card inside the couch that still worked! Plus when we pulled the blankets back, there was hairs inside the blankets. The sheets had obviously not been washed! Then when we told "Tiffany" we were leaving, she smarted off that she had already told the manager about us! And she tried to change out the cards. Neither manager we called ever called us back! Let's of pictures attached! STAY AWAY!
Beachfront historic hotel located steps to the public beach. Accessible to almost everything. Walking distance to nightlife , food choices , has a fishing pier, parking is available for a fee, public showers . Even have an interdenominational church across the street. This hotel boasts of its rich history , front desk ladies , Ashanti, Alicia and Tiffany are the best! Very accommodating and pleasant. Chef Aaron has been there for a while now , good tasting food and priced affordably. Diane the bar tender is known to make the best drinks , she’s so sweet! Virginia is the one to call for weddings and banquets or for special occasions, she’s all smiles and ready to cater to your needs . Rooms are very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds too. No pool in this hotel. They also have a rooftop bar , The Penthouse, open till late serving food as well. We love this hotel. We frequent this hotel . One of the historic hotels of america
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we lived this little gem. The room was a little small, and it took a LONG TIME to get hot water for the shower, but other than that, we loved it. Very clean and comfortable. Desk service was wonderful, and the brunch on Sunday was very yummy. It's right on the beach with a board walk to the sand right in front of it. Close to everything you'd need.
Went to the rooftop for brunch with friends. Drinks with ocean view were amazing but they didn't do a brunch menu on the roof only down stairs. Wish we knew this prior to going. They did have a menu for the roof it was limited and just not brunch. I am sure for me would have loved more if known and then choose to do drinks and meal at sunset.
Didnt stay at the hotel but it looks really nice and had a really elegant historic feel to it.
The room was a decent size but can definitely use some attention especially in the bathroom. This establishment is a wedding venue and you can hear the festivities in your room….all night. The front desk staff was not overly helpful and we felt as if we were a bother. Good continental breakfast. Parking was a real nightmare.
My date and I had a great time. The bartenders are amazing. The drinks were generous and very well priced. And the oceanfront view from the third floor patio is just magnificent
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary this past weekend. The hotel is beachfront and walking distance to several restaurants. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We forgot our corkscrew and the bartender opened our wine and gave us nice wine glasses without us asking. We would definitely stay again.
If your looking for a nice hotel in JAX that won’t break the bank, this is the place!
I came down for a weekend with some friends and this was the perfect place! The hotel itself is very nice on the inside and the staff is excellent!
You are right next to the beach so you just walk out the back right onto board!
You’re also right in the heart of Jacksonville so there are plenty of good bars, restaurants, shops just a few steps away!
