My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast for the first time ever. It was a warm environment where people were laughing and talking while eating their breakfast. She got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and I got the western omelette and cheese grits. I regrettably didn’t take a picture because they were huge. Biscuit was big. Omelette was huge. Very tasty as well. Homemade. Delicious. Will definitely be back.
Very clean. Hash browns are probably the worst hash browns I've ever had in my life, ever. Don't order the tenderloin, it's just hamburger. And why is it white? Great over easy eggs, home fries were decent. Coffee, meh.
Nice and cozy but adequate room for hungry people. Buffet is offered with a meat and two sides type choice. Menu orders as well. I had the Chefs Salad yesterday with a side of Mac and cheese. WOW! Delicious. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, tons of ham, cheese, bacon, and nice ranch dressing. The Mac & cheese was to the moon. Friendly service and great food.
The food is amazing, just like the service. They serve cat head biscuit with a abundance of anything you could want for breakfast including hoop cheese. Highly recommended. ????
Was visiting from NJ and got a flat stopped by on my way to Atlanta. It's a local place so when you walk in and not recognized you don't get the friendliest greeting or seevice.the food was good though really a small town feel .Parking was ok decor is really simple and kinda 70's 80's style.
Yes. I WAS LATE FOR BREAKFAST.. a morning of fasting for lab work..But the kind folks at Carter's put a breakfast plate together for me and it was delicious . I will be back and gonna bring friends. Thank y'all so much ????
Carter's was an unexpected treasure of a restaurant. Not only was our large breakfast cooked perfectly, but the meal for the 2 of us cost under $15. This old restaurant is a bit small so it was packed when we arrived. Yet we found seats within a couple of minutes. The owner was extremely friendly and chatted with us as we asked about the history.
Definitely an eater we'll dine at again. Oh, it is easy to miss, so look for it across the street from the American Legion.

Food is ok. Service is ok. Atmosphere wasn't good for me. It's a local restaurant and if you're not in a clique and you're dining alone, you're definitely dining alone. 1 piece of sausage and 2 scrambled eggs and 1 cup of coffee ☕️. $ 11.15. This includes tip. Safe to say I will probably go somewhere else from now on.
