We are visiting from out of town and came here in a Friday night for karaoke. The website says they serve food until 9 pm, so I went up for a menu at 8:15 and the bartender told me they only serve food until 5 pm. I was starving so walked across the street then came back. The music was so, so loud that it was distorted and hurt our ears so much we had to leave. The balance of the music was terrible, blown out beyond what the speakers could handle. And that's everywhere in the bar, not just in front of the stage.
The drinks we got were good and service was good, no complaints there at all. I'm just sad we had to leave to eat and then when we came back it was so loud we had to leave.
This bar is the WORST! Especially the guy running karaoke. It was my turn to sing and he skipped me just cause he wanted to after I waited an hour and a half for my song. I would suggest going to any other bar in soulard other than Carson’s. He kicked me out just because I told him I waited for my song I deserve to sing. Awful
Ugliest and worst bar in Soulard. Either packed with college kids or dead slow with townies... Rude bartenders add the final blow to never go again, not even for karaoke.
Karaoke on a Sunday late afternoon into the night with Brian and the bartender Ashley. Late crowd but a good time for everyone.
really sad and disappointed to say this, but I Just got robbed by one of the staff members here. I used to be a huge fan of this place, but will not be going back here anytime soon. At the end of the night, I set my coat down for a minute to dance with a friend and then when I came back to my area I noticed it was gone. When I asked the staff if they'd seen a coat, one of the bouncers was snickering and said we hung it on the rack for you. I thought nothing of it, but when I left the bar and looked in my wallet, I noticed $100 was missing. Needless to say I will not be going back here again. I hope the owner knows they just lost a long time supporter of this place.
Really good food and service don't understand why I had to empty my water bottle at the door
I always stop at Carson's when I'm in the Soulard neighborhood. Great food, drink, and service here.

I witnessed one of my friends get DRUG out of this place by two bouncers. (mind you: she’s a small woman) and treated like absolute trash. After they threw her out of the bar they sent her on her way, alone, on the streets in the dark
