Excellent attention, excellent price, carnitas are good, just not sure if because we arrived 1 hr before the closing time, carnitas were very salty... taste was not as great as I was expecting. Pozole was great, salsas, rice and beans were great too.
Wow what a wonderful lil jewel this restaurant is . My husband and I were on our way home to Santa Cruz and found this amazing place the carnitas were absolutely delicious the salsa yummy too! The little extras were a bonus and the welcome , smiles from the staff an overall lovely experience. Well worth a lil travel exceptional Food and Service with a smile ..
Fantastic little restraunt. Full of activity and clearly a meeting place for the local community. I was warmly greeted when I walked in (in English if that's important to you lol) and after waiting for a few transactions it was my turn. I was on the hunt for pozole, but they didn't serve it today which is understandable. Pretty sure I saw they did have menudo though. So, I went with the standard, 3 carnitas tacos and a large jamaica. They ended up being massive lol. Maybe because I was starving, maybe it was the service and atmosphere, but they were honestly the best carnitas I've ever had. Truly LA NETA. Mil gracias mi amigos nuevos ???? I plan on coming back ????????
Foods not bad. In fact probably the best carnitas ever tried but the miserable soul cashier was so sour it soured my food
Wish the carnitas were this good back home where I'm from. Im glad for the recommendation. The place is so good many people were constantly getting take out. Love the family buisness and the staff was nice and courteous. Would love to be able to eat at least once a week... had enough for dinner as well...
Cashier was unpleasant and lacked customer service skills. The meat was mostly fat/skin/uneatable. Do not recommend.
Its a hidden gem in downtown Gilroy! Their carnitas has amazing flavor and very juicy.Today is the first time I tried their menudo, its so good! Prices are so reasonable.
The full package. Affordable prices, generous portions, great taste.
The one thing that is missing is the chopped manzano and onion salsa to give it the missing touch of authenticity.
