This is one of my regular locations. This visit I had a patty melt with tortilla soup and it was outstanding. We also ordered the fish taco with beans that's always good. I don't think you have a bad meal here at carnitas express. They also have a full bar. Cheers
We won't be back. Bad service (took forever just to order because she was socializing and cleaning a dirty table when the rest of the place was empty) and the food taste like it's canned. The mozzarella sticks were definitely from a box and the sauce was cold. My grilled chicken salad came out with microwave chicken on top and brown pieces of lettuce. My husband got menudo which he said was either out of a can or, at the very least, frozen as there was no flavor at all. The chips and salsa were definitely out of a bag/can and just not good. We paid GOOD money for the meal so we ate it but it really wasn't worth the calories or price. Nothing here was worth the price they're charging.
The chips and salsa we’re good. Everything else not so much. They got three out of five because lady comped our food. May have been our food only but I don’t know.
We both had a omelette. Popeye and avacado green chilies. Both were dried out and absolutely flavorless. The biscuits and gravy were inedible. We probably could have overlooked this as a poor menu choice if the service had not been cold, abrupt and rude . Our server and the other young lady could benefit from some training in hospitality
Cold food. Incorrect orders, and barely ate any of it. Took the rest home, had a family member 'taste' it. They agree it was terrible. Not even the rice was good. No flavor. Tamale tasted like the sauce was canned. And not even the 'good' canned. In the trash. Slow service as well.
Other than the iceberg lettuce in my salad and the cheap blue cheese dressing that tasted like it was from a bottle, (definitely not homemade) the experience was okay. Service was okay but it is somewhat loud and distracting inside because there's no insulation from carpet and most of their decor is metal hanging ornaments so sound resonates; better to sit outside if the weather is nice and of course when isn't it?
Carnitas Express in Murrieta is delicious! Shopping for furniture can make one (or two) very hungry! Luckily this place was just across the parking lot. Everything was so good, including the service. I will return here for sure! I had a crispy ground beef taco and an enchilada Suiza with chicken. The green sauce was YUM and spicy. I asked for a hot red sauce for my taco, and it was perfectly hot for me. A little Habanero with Chile de Arbol. So good! And yes. I ate it all. ????
There seems to be a lot of employee turnover, and it shows with all the mistakes their waitresses make now. I have been there three times this month, and all orders were wrong. We asked for more tea and salsa and finished our meal and never got what we asked. The food is expensive and I don't mind but the service has to equal the prices.
