They offer good quality of meats, staff are friendly and they cut the meats however you want. Their produce is a hit and miss, somedays its fresh and other days the produce looks old. Prices are a bit higher compared to a big supermarket. Plenty of parking available on their lot.
This place is a meat market, convenience store with small produce section, and Mexican grill all in one. I come here for the Mexican food, and it's one of the best Mexican grills in the Valley. Sometimes, you have to come to a not-so-good neighborhood to experience good Mexican food. They use refried beans and Spanish rice in their burritos, and they use homemade chips for their nachos that stay crispy after the 25 minute drive home. Yes, I drive from the west end of the Valley because the food is so good here. The nachos are so filling, you could probably split them. The breakfast burrito is huge and lasts me all day. But it's not just quantity, it quality. I've been coming here for 10 years and still continue to come here.
The pollo asado combo is sooo good. The best taste! Perfectly seasoned, moisty and has that smoked taste but not overwhelming. It comes with tortillas, beans, rice, salsas, and your whole chicken. They will cut it for you. Remember to ask for plates, forks and napkins to go, if you need them. They will attend to you very well. It's a small grocery market and restaurant combined. If you're in the mood to BBQ you'll find great quality meats there too.
I absolutely love the tacos and nachos from here, can't wait to try the rest of the food. Great customer service and love how they have meat department and a mini market and sell hot food. Amazing!

Carniceria Don Juan has the best carnitas. I have always experienced great customer service,
everyone seems stressed and not too happy to be there but i was happy one person made sure i was helped even though she didn't seem happy to do it. i think it might be best to call ahead off you want a burrito? i might try that next time. as far as the food goes it was okay. the rice was soggy and the carnitas were a bit too fatty for my liking. i'll give this another chance maybe next week.
