First time we've tried the place. They had a party going on in the other room and the food took a little longer than usual but we were compensated with free drinks and an apology without having to ask so that was stand up of them. Will definitely go back. Had a cheese pizza Brick Oven. Good flavor. Nice Krispy crust. Lots of cheese. Nice size pie
I ordered a sicilian pizza with Meatball, pepperoni, black olive, mushroom and garlic. I cannot complain about the taste, however The further away you I got from the edge, the more doughy the crust was. At $40 for a 16 inch pizza, I would have expected the toppings to me more generous. I will have to be very hungry and lazy to go back
Wasn't expecting much from this unassuming little establishment, but the food was spectacular: crispy, perfectly done calamari, satisfying salad choices, tasty marinara sauces with just the right zing, and some of the best garlic knots I've ever had. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and our server Barbara was delightful. A great gustatory experience in a little gem of an eatery! And not to forget the bite-size cannoli either, which have real chocolate chips in them and are melt-in-your-mouth yummy.
Small but comfortable Italian style restaurant. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, it has a basic atmosphere, and the food is very good. The pizza, the entrees, and the in-house made deserts are tasty.
Has a bar area, but I haven't had the opportunity to try that side of the restaurant. It's not noisy to the sit-down side.
Went in for a quick lunch. When we arrived we were the only 3 seated. Myself and another coworker decided to grab the lunch special about 9 bucks for a 1/2 salad and a slice. Figured it would be the quickest option. Nope, it took 37 mins to get a slice of pepperoni pizza and a small Ceasar salad (and it was small). We ended up taking it to go as we had to be back in the office. Pizza is usually spot on, but it was a bit salty this time. I have been several times to Carmelas and this was the first time I ever experienced such poor service.
A must stop in Stuart!! We love the traditional crust with the chicken Bella pizza. The mix of flavors is out of this world. And don't forget the garlic knots!! We always over order because leftovers are the best!!!
Great service at the Bar, Great bartender, friendly. If you want a cheesy or pizza, don’t order the grandmas. Usually we get the grandmas and it’s pretty good but this time the the top of the toppings were burnt and the pizza was pretty dry didn’t seem like much. Pride was done and making this pizza one order this again.
Yesterday my husband and I sat down at exactly 5:30. There were two other filled booths with one couple already eating. We had a 7pm appointment and came early knowing my husband’s personal pizza would take some time. I was having a house salad with grilled chicken. The server came over and we ordered water and a glass of Chardonnay, which came quickly. We only got one lucky chance to flag down the waitress at 6pm to ask when we might expect the food. She was apologetic, but seemly overwhelmed by the clientele in the wine bar. At 6:15 the salad that arrived at our table was greens, a handful of whole walnuts, two cherry tomatoes, a teaspoon sized lump of runny cheese and shaved wood masquerading as chicken. No dressing. A half salad at Panera has more substance. After a quick discussion and still no pizza, we got up to find a manager to pay for the wine and leave. She seemingly didn’t want to hear a word and said “Go.” We used to love taking our children there when they were young. Given we had a nearby appointment, we thought we’d revisit. Not happening again.
