I pulled into the drive thru at 10:58 PM on April 18, 2024. Lights were all on and I could see people inside. No one came on the speaker box. I pulled up to the window. A girl with short hair glanced at me but otherwise didn’t acknowledge me. They are supposed to be open until 11 PM but apparently that isn’t true. I took pictures of one of the ladies inside, who completely ignored me.
Edit: I changed this from a one star to a four star. Honestly, I was ready to stay upset about the way I was treated. However, when I called the manager, Ember, she was very professional and even offered a comped meal. I hope the young ladies that looked directly at me and still shut down the drive thru without saying a word to me learn from this experience.
Delivery was fast and the food was great. Angus El Diablo was fantastic. Fries were great. Thank you!!
As fast food goes this wasn’t bad. I got exactly what I asked for which is a win in my book. I ordered the #1 meal. Bun and toppings were fresh. Food was hot and it was a step above McDonalds, Wendy’s etc. I’d definitely eat here again if I was craving a burger and wanted something fast.
I know the burgers are known to be a little messy but it's gross when you unwrap it and you have to peel off a huge chunk of WET bun. The milkshake wasn't very chocolatey and it was a thin consistency. The Oreo wasn't as bad. Not to mention it took forever to get our milkshakes. I can't recall but just one other person inside the restaurant so not sure why. There were several workers in there. We ordered the shakes just before we were ready to leave so we could have them to go. You would have thought we ordered with our original food by how thin the chocolate one was.
We went on the afternoon of 5/25 to celebrate my (belated) birthday and that was the best milkshake I have ever had. Special shoutout to our cashier Rosa for answering all our questions about the menu and vegetarian options as I had not been before.
Wow. Fast, fresh, very well made food. The pride was evident. Head and shoulders above typical fast food. Ask for onion, you get choice of white or red, not reconstituted fake "flaked food product, onion flavor", it's the real thing. Great service as well, courteous and just the right amount of helpful.
Everything was spotless too, I might add.
We will be back for chicken and waffles sandwiches soon!
Credit where it's due...I've had a lot of double cheeseburgers in my life, but last night's experience at this Carl's Jr. experience is the very first time I've ordered a double cheeseburger with only one patty on it. So great job there. A memorably disgusting burger that, since this is Carl's Jr., is supposed to be of a better quality than say, McDonald's. And though I've had my share of bad experiences with McDonald's, never once have they shorted me a patty on a McDouble. This is truly an astounding level of either ineptitude or pure apathy.
What's also noteworthy about this experience is that the location was not busy at all and yet the fries were still clearly not fresh given how rubbery they were. And my wife also had to knock on the door (the lobby was closed) to let them know they shorted her an order of fries. Not sure how this happens. It's not as though we ordered a lot of food. It was two combos, which obviously should mean two orders of fries and not one.
I guess in summary, I should know better than to visit a Carl's Jr, but both Noodles and Company and KFC closed earlier than we needed, so they were not the first choice. Not specific to this location, but Carl's Jr. has been on a steady decline for many years. They want to charge you roughly around 11 dollars for a small combo, but you have to be very fortunate to ever get an experience worth that much.
I'll try you again in a few years...maybe.
Despite being extremely busy and fries being burning hot, this burger is ice cold. Looks absolutely disgusting and if I wasn’t afraid of them spitting in my food, I’d go and complain in person. Definitely not going to eat this cold burger and will not be coming back. Wish I could get a refund for such a waste of money and time.
